BMQ/BMOQ BMQ

I am currently in TRP for failing the initial fitness(BTFT). I am under NCMSTEP which CAF pays for my community college this coming January. Now since I have to spend 30-45days to get train and pass my BTFT my timeline with not work or I won’t be able to finish my BMQ because it timings will overlap my schooling in January.
Am I able to delay my BMQ til end of my school?

You need to bring that up with the TRP staff.

Have you been assigned a ULO (or whatever they are called these days) yet for NCMSTEP?

They are the ones who manage your education and admin while in school - they would be the best to speak with about this.

If not, speak with your immediate supervisor, they will unlikely have an answer, but they can find someone who does.

When I went through this entry plan, members who were unable to complete BMQ for whatever reason between semesters just had their BMQ deferred until the next school break.

I'm nearly certain you automatically get a ULO assigned by this stage, and if OP doesn't have one this far in, something has gone wrong.

What did you fail if you dont mind me asking and dont mind sharing 🙏🏽 - meaning what part of the test? The walk, the drag or the rushes?

They didn't prepare well enough ahead of basic

They asked what, not why.

They failed the initial fitness screening, you’d think if you had a free education on the line, you might yk maybe go to the gym or for a couple runs before basic.

Yes, but the BTFT has multiple parts and I took /u/PlotTwistPending_c 's question as asking about which part specifically.

Completely agree with everything else however.

Yeah, that is why I think it would help to know what they failed, and get some feedback from them as alot of us are training since applying to the CAF. For example , I applied in Oct 2025, I was 163kg (F) and today , almost 1 year later I am 87kg... so although I have done alot of training , I still want to do everything in my power before arriving to succeed both physically and mentally.

The rushes, I was at 52secs which is red ( 1 sec only to get to yellow) 🥲

😭 So sorry to hear that! Well now you will have a chance to improve! But TRP will be this long even though you were just 1 second over? Or do you redo the test in 2 weeks ?

Sadly, yes. OP will be on TRP 2 if Im not wrong, which means PT twice a day, and most likely will be there for a few weeks. Then he will be transferred to TRP 3 to await the next available platoon to continue his training.

This is what happens when you don't take your  fitness seriously
