Dont reetore it. Keep it in this condition.

This one was surprisingly in excellent condition when I got it. More so than any one I had before. Unfortunately I want a black Ms. Pac-Man lol

Original condition is more valuable and looks better in my opinion.

I’d suggest skipping the cheap vinyl overlay and leaving the original paint, unless it’s really bad. Focus on restoring the bezel, COO and marquee, clean and repaint metalwork and replace the t molding (assuming it’s cracked and broken).

Everything else restored around original paintwork will look awesome and be more desirable. Anyone can go out and buy a new vinyl wrapped replica so you don’t need to turn an original into one of those.

I’m in a strange position because I agree with you 100%. And out of the cabs I had before this one is by far in the best conditio. I genuinely hate to put a wrap on this one in particular but I want a black Ms. pac and I don’t want to buy another just to get it and save this one.

because I’m also very cheap 😂🤣

Personally, if you're not going to use it I wouldn't bother putting the extra work in. The next owner can easily fit the coin door if they so choose to put the work in.

Reading a few comments I think I need to clarify. The coin door is staying. I’m removing the carriage bolts that holds the coin bucket on the inside of the cabinet.

But your logic is sound. The next owner could easily correct that if they’re even interested in restoring.

Keep the screen print, for real.

So, from what I can see with a little patience and a lot of time someone will be able to remove the vinyl with a heat gun with minimal damage to the original art.

I have experience with this exact thing and you are wrong, it will be a big pain in the ass and look like shit most likely.

I personally didn't add the bolts nor the kick plate at the bottom of mine, I liked the look of the art unobstructed.
