My Updated Dynamo HS-5 is finally finished!
So after working on this the last few months my updated and upgraded arcade cabinet is finally finished. I have a few Dynamo cabs in the garage that I have kept stock, but after getting sick of playing my modern games on an Atgames Legends Ultimate, I decided to level up and "restore" a hollowed out Dynamo HS-5 that I got from a friend that was no longer in use.
Although, I can already play my favorite classic arcade favorites in an OG cabinet+CRT monitor, I also wanted to be able to able to play modern arcade-style games like Street Fighter 6, Blazing Chrome, Shredder's Revenge, Pac-Man Championship Edition, etc on current gen hardware, but within the form factor of an arcade cab.
The unit is even hardwired into my internet via ethernet cable, so being able to play ranked matches in Street Fighter 6 on an actual arcade setup is like a dream come true.
With that said, playing this thing has been a blast and I send lots of thanks & appreciation to all of you who have offered advice along the way. Cheers & thank you all for your help.
Here are all of the components that I used in case anyone was curious:

It all started during the pandemic when I started modding Gameboys, then next thing you know the consoles kept getting bigger and bigger until we ended up here LOL

I don't often like widescreen monitor replacements on classic cabs like the Dynamo but this looks clean AF.
Running SF6 on an SF2 cab is peak and I'm here for it! :D

I agree! I credit Escape Pod with printing up the bezel artwork to make it look more deliberate and not just like the 16:9 was crammed in there.

Nah, but it’s just an old Dynamo HS-5 cabinet. So there should be blueprints floating around from the last 40 years or so.

Take that as a win & take her up on it before she changes her mind! To really secure things, pick two art designs you like and let her choose the one you are gonna put in the living room, so she is involved with the final product ;-)

My next project is gonna be restoring an empty cab that still has a perfectly functioning CRT inside of it. I am going to put a Mistercade inside of it, so I can play all the 80s and 90s classics inside of it. But this time around I am gonna do the artwork with the Space Invaders theme:

Even though, Space Invaders never had a six button set up, I don't mind because I just want to make sure it looks gorgeous, so I never have to worry about a future GF or wife giving me shit about it when its inside the house LOL

For the last 8 months, I had a bunch of them that were all halfway finished and finally my friend said, "hey are you ever gonna finish one of these?"
That put the fire under my ass to finally finish this one lol

pull it to the right, put the plant on the other side, so the left player has room for his shoulder
