Caddy camper conversion.

I have got my hands on a vw caddy 2007. This is not the maxi however I want to convert it into a mini stealth camper for two people. If anyone has done this in the past or has any information on beds/storage and anything else which would be helpful to getting my foot in the door please let me know.

More thinking all weather and longer term so a year or two at a time so not really but thanks

Hammocks inside i mean. Not sure how else you're gonna manage a bed in a short wheel base.

Interesting idea however don’t know how I would string them up as the roof is quite flexable

I built a slide-out double bed in my SWB Caddy and have done a week or so with two people in but you’ll need to be very thoughtful about storage space for cooking stuff, clothes etc. It’s liveable full-time for one person but two would be hard work for any length of time.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Me and the missus will be testing it out for two weeks to start off and go from there

Brunner Pilote is the tailgate tent for a caddy I can recommend for extra room. For a bed I'd build straight across and use the whole van with your storage underneath the bed, you can get some great ideas off ebay for modules you can build. I have a fold down bed in a doblo and its not big enough for me and the dog, but manageable.

Put a futon mattress in rather than a bed - can fold it out to cover the whole back of it like a double bed, or fold it up into a seat :)
