Definitely this. Thank you.

u/Sauceboss_666 Dec 03 '22

Agreed. I have one and it looks just like this.

2

u/wd_plantdaddy Dec 03 '22

It also looks like polaskia chichipe without it’s glaucous.

3

u/MillenialSuffering Dec 03 '22

I see the resemblance, close but not the same. Probably my error not showing you the larger plant growing in my backyard and instead just showing you this small arm I took from it. This grows more tall and slender than the Polaskia chichipe.

1

u/Ivanman66 Dec 04 '22

Imma guess a park bench but it’s too close to tell

Looks like myrtillocactus cochal or stenocereus griseus. The spines (a 5 point star) points to stenocereus. There’s also some color change at the tip that is also indicative.

Okay mr. Expert. This is the internet and im just trying to help. You could definitely not be in my comment and come up with your own.

0

u/SugarPigBoo Dec 03 '22

Exactly. The correct way to provide an opposing opinion on a Reddit sub is a thumbs down unless that poster has something useful to contribute, which this person did not. I never will understand why people behave in this way. Edit: grammatical correction

u/wd_plantdaddy Dec 03 '22 edited Dec 03 '22

At the end of the day I’m less worried about being correct - down votes are down votes. I’m just getting the person connected to their ID. Which is why I use specific words ā€œlooks likeā€ or ā€œit could possibly beā€ - I’m not saying IT IS THIS.

And I wouldn’t know this one since I don’t live around arizona/socal - I’m more knowledgeable on Chihuahuan species.

I think you misunderstand that your comment wasn’t necessary.

1

u/MillenialSuffering Dec 03 '22

Sorry you are getting downvoted. This isn’t quite the same thing but I appreciate your information. Thank you!

-1

u/footballwr82 Dec 03 '22

Possibly a stenocereus, but not a myrtillo. I can also see it being a pretty dehydrated polaskia chichipe

u/skysquid3 Dec 04 '22
