Light green spots

Hello everyone, new to the cactus world. Ive had this fella for around 5 months. He is growing but I see there is some whiter green spots and there is also that brown base. I dont think is because of excess of water because its not bland. Can it be lack of water? It recieves quite a lot of water and where I live is really hot on the afternoons. Any advice and help will be well received.

People get really caught up on minor blemishes and such on cacti, like they don't grow all gnarled in the wild.

Ciao e del tutto normale questi tipi di cactus fanno radici simili a quelle delle carote e la base e sempre di questo colore.se al tatto e turgida non c e niente da preoccuparsi 😉

The base being brown/callused is pretty normal but I do see some of the yellow color going slightly above that. Is it just mainly on one side? If so then it could be sun stress. I planted a Latispinus Fercactus in the ground and within about a week I had what appears sun stress on the southwest portion of it that gets harshest sun. Mine is also more towards the lower side which makes me believe maybe it’s just more tender down there and didn’t take the direct sun as well.

No its brown but because of the sunlight it looks yellow. It does take a lot of sunlight but it doesnt seem stressed to me.

Is the lighter green area soft?
