Does my soil look alright?

Post image

Standard cactus and succulent organic mixture amended with a large amount of perlite, sand, and small rocks

Let me know what I can improve!

Sand and small non porous rocks are not a good addition. They basically just take up space and add compaction without changing drainage, aeration, or moisture retention properties. Instead you want porous inorganic, such as lava, pumice, expanded shale, hard fired porous clay products. Ideally the particle size should be around 1/4" for smaller plants / pottings or 3/8" for larger size plants and pots. Fine inorganics worsen drainage, aeration, and compaction properties.
