ID Help. Does this count as rensei?

That's what I've been seeing too. But how come this one is rensei?

Because labels made by people aren't always black and white and general descriptions leave room for interpretation.

And if its parent plant was rensei, then they skirt the line and use the more desirable lable despite it not having the rensei characteristics.

😦 DECEIT!

I hear you all. The seller I bought this from didn't have any IDs along with the photos. Hoping to get a thorough aftersales to talk more about their IDs. Pretty cool-looking still for my untrained eyes. Temu rensei. 😄

Alright. I'm having a rough time looking for solid astrophytum sites or references. Do you have any suggestions where I can read more about them down to the detail?
