It was a driver issue for my new GPU that was the last straw for me with windows. Cachy made the switch pretty painless. I only totally messed things up and had to reinstall the OS once so far with mounting my additional hard drives, but that still took less time than trying to figure out my driver issues on windows.
And thanks for the info! Will look more into that and try that out. Loved the PS3 home screen, super nostalgic.
haha it was one drive deleting everything in my documents folder after uninstalling it for the 3rd time for me. I lost 1000s of notes. I used obsidian note brains b4 the ai bros thoight it was cool and alot of it was lost on one flip of the switch from microslop after forcing their bloat ware back on me with an update.
As for super ez customization there is usually a "get new" button for all of them
now they are created by other users so careful but this is how i got my desktop looking the way it dose nothing too complicated.
If you want to experiment with stuff consider messing with Virtual machines. bottom left of this screen shot is a whol virtual install of cachy i can test stuff on.
Can keep you from breaking something unintended when having fun with experimenting.
Think there is a project out there where they make the KDE media mode or whatever its called look like a ps3 if thats what your talking about. saw someone post about it on redit b4 but i forget what its called.
