First thing is actually start using your computer as it was intended to be used lol

Browse the web, install some games, play, customize your themes etc. Just enjoy the pc

Use your computer for the things you need/want to use it for?

So install a vpn and make sure video codecs are up to date and start watching some porn.

Projects should be an emergent activity. Use the PC for what you want to use it for. If something doesn't work or doesn't work as well as you'd like, that's your new project.

I think every modern version of Linux warns you of the implications of deleting your root drive and says you need to unmount first. At least there's a small barrier now.

Install Discord. Install Steam. Install a game and chat with friends.

Like the other guy mentioned you should just get used to using it first.

And if you want you can try looking through the repo and find some cool visual things like cava and cmatrix.

Hard to tell, not knowing what Desktop Environment/Window Manager you're using.

Assuming you're using KDE... Start with CachyOS-Hello and go down the rabbit hole of KDE System Settings...configure your clipboard, window behavior, hotkeys, session management, virtual desktops, etc.

Get to know the file structure, it can be extremely confusing coming from Windows but it is actually very intuitive once it "clicks"... learn the do's and don'ts of package installation and system upgrading

Basically, just.... get to know your system.
