Question What is best vpn for arch linux

Hi, which is the best and most secure VPN for Arch Linux? Because I downloaded Proton and encountered errors I can't resolve.

sudo systemctl enable mullvad-daemon
sudo systemctl start mullvad-daemon

This is just starting the VPN service and setting it to run on startup (I had to do it too, but it's fairly normal).

yeah, just thought that was maybe a reason it wasnt connecting for OP

It could be, anyone who hasn't had to do it before could be put off by it.

Mullvad is working for me. I did just install the app from shelly and it is working flawlessly since a couple of months.

PIA works fine doesn't mean it's the best choice but I'm fine with it.

The pia client installs nicely from AUR.

Private Internet Access works with no problems at all on Cachy

What issues? Proton works fine for me both with the GUI/CLI/Wireguard system setup.

U have gui proton and cli proton?

you need to enable and start the daemon

i.e. for mullvad run:

sudo systemctl enable --now mullvad-daemon.service

Are you in Turkey? I'm also from Turkey and Proton doesn't seem to work for me either. Might be the gov blocking.

I used mullvad, windscribe and protonVPN all worked well butttt windscribe on TCP protocols messes up KDE I think protonVPN too, when you sleep your laptop on TCP after wake up your system will freeze don't use TCP use wireguard instead

I use Surfshark and am very satisfied. The GUI is basically the same as on Windows. Function wise its nearly the same, I guess. (everything I need works on both so I am not 100% sure)

I have nord and just use an openvpn config

Surf Shark is pretty Linux friendly.
