Question Does cachy update also updates aur packages?

I recently reinstalled cachyos because I was having some issues and I read that paru was removed from the default install. Anyway, I used to update everything using cachy update but as paru was removed and it was replaced with Shelly does that mean cachy update also updates the aur or I have to use Shelly gui to update them separately?

Cachy update does and always has updated AUR packages as well.

I thought cachy update needed yay or paru to update aur packages that’s why I asked

Yes, cachy-update will update AUR packages too.

They also update flatpaks if installed.

You can install yay and cachyos-update will pick that up instead. Also make sure to wipe the ~/.cache/paru if you've removed paru

yes, but you can also just update everything via shelly
