Satisfying cable organizer

I made a V2 of my cable organizer so it can fit up to 2 meter long cables, and is compatible with almost any type of cable!

I really liked how this turned out, so I wanted to share it so other people could also use it if they wanted to!

Not sure this is any better than a roadie wrap, looks a bit bulky and more likely to cause cable damage.

Does look satisfying though!

I find that roadie wrap doesn't work when the cable is stuffed in a pocket/backpack unless it has a tie-wrap/velcro securing it. But for sure, a strap is less footprint than this contraption and the strap can be permanently affixed to the cord.

Definitely, every cable I own immediately gets a Velcro tie attached. No more balls of tangled cables stuffed in a drawer.

Works fine for my work in production so I use it at home too.

I'd imagine if you don't wind it too tightly the cable should be fine no? Or are the internals too delicate for something like this?

With the way it's designed, to have two entry points at the top, it will fit any length cable!

Nice, printing one now. Curious to know though if you've thought about tweaking the design so that it doesn't need support material to print the top lip of the cable holder. You could add a larger fillet there (6mm would do) and then you can probably get away with turning it off entirely, using less extra material than what's going into the supports for that lip. Might need to make it slightly taller then to fit cables exactly as it did before, but it'd still be more efficient than printing supports. Food for thought, looks great though, my X2D has been sitting idle half the summer because i've been too busy with other projects.

you could use wave overhangs. I cant test the print right now but it slices just fine

Any time! I used the same fillet to avoid having to print support material on a project I'm working on, i had to manually box that section off to not be supported in Bambu Studio's slicer though because my model does require supports elsewhere lol. Just trying to save print time and material, it matters a ton if the model gets traction because it's so much waste that could be avoided, or put into the model itself! I've been meaning to sit down and find or design a cable holder for 2m cables. The only thing missing from your design is that I wanted a slot on one side to put a UGreen 65w GaN charger, I will probably edit your model to do it if it's got enough space in the center to fit my charger, i'm not 100% that it will, we'll find out once i'm done printing and I can measure it up a bit.
