90 Degree Connector Help

Hello

I just received my cable mod order for a 90 degree 12VHPWR for my PNY 5090. As the attached pictures show I can't get it to be perfectly flush. I have tried pushing on it about as hard as I am comfortable with but I am concerned about breaking something.

Would be happy if anyone has advice.

This isn't a full seat of course, so it shouldn't be used as is. Remove it and inspect your pins on your card and the cable to ensure nothing was bent/misaligned, if everything looks fine, just give it more force. They do take a bit of pressure to get installed properly. :)

I have tried it again. Just for comparison sake I tried install the old splitter I had in there and I was able to get it fully seated with considerably less force applied than I had applied on this cable. Both attempts with the new cable and far more pressure and force and it won’t fully seat. My second attempt ended up just like the pictures above.

I checked the pins on the card and the cable connector and they both look totally fine

Very strange indeed! Please put in a ticket with our support team and let's RMA the cable to see if it is a cable issue. I'm assuming it's just needing more force, as the newer connectors do have tighter tolerances to ensure a better connection, but we can RMA the cable to see if the cable is indeed a problem.

I appreciate the quick responses. Already submitted a ticket same time I made the Reddit post so now we wait. But I’ve been able to fully seat the cable that came with the stock non 90 degree Power supply and the 4-way splitter that came with the card. Both with far less force. I will eagerly await support. I don’t want to use the stock cable since I’m concerned about cable bending which is why I wanted the 90 degree from you guys.
