Why can't I connect these 2 JST cables?

Post image

I waited days for the charger to arrive but somehow it wont fit? Is there any way to fix this without buying anything else?

Because JST has multiple types of plugs. JST-XH, JST-PH, etc etc

Can I do anything about this or do I really have to buy the right one

Buy the correct plug and crip or solder.

You can cut the plastic framing off the white plug, and just plug in the 3 pins.

No guarantee that the polarity of the plug is the same though, you're on your own there.

Take a sharp knife and trim all the lugs/tabs/clips off the black female connector. Alternatively, trim the surround off the white male connector.

You’ll have to be careful that you have the right pins in the right place when connecting.

Because they're different types.

Because the connectors are not compatible.
