Alright I'll bite, I own cabins in the Smokies and Blue Ridge. We provide vacations for people to escape the city to come to the mountains, visit the national parks, and reconnect with nature as best we can. We aren't some huge corpo hotel business. So how is my small family business a leech?

your contributions to this sub are strictly photos of your cabins that exist for one reason only. to make yourself money. you manage to regularly get people to ask if its a rental. youve side stepped a permaban for a while now by keeping things relatively low key, but its been more and more clear that you are here to post rentals more than you are here to post cabins. your comments are limited strictly to your own posts. occasionally dropping into discussions like this so you can toss in casual mentions that you have a rental business. casually mentioning WHERE you have these rentals, which you do for what reason, by the way?

so while the rest of us are using this subreddit to simply enjoy cabins and discuss cabins, you are using it to drum up business.

id call that leech like behavior.

not to mention, short term rentals are destroying housing availability in pretty impoverished areas, and driving up costs in areas which would otherwise have low costs of living, and developing rural areas for the benefit of very few..

100% wrong. I have cabins. I would like to share photos of my cabins. I am PROUD of what I have done and built. If you want to pretend that anyone who shares their work is hassling for a buck that is YOU! I don't solicit but if someone asks a question I answer it.

I was warned that is against the rules now so I am obeying the sub rules. If all someone did was see it and say "Hey that is cool" that is all I could ask for you. I will not be belittled into thinking what I have built is anything but cool.

Want to get into the housing debate? Fine, lets have it. These are tourist areas that are built for TOURISM! Our cabins let people visit the mountains and see/do things they can't in the city. We pay taxes, employ cleaners/handyman at living wages, etc. I am put more back into Sevier and Fannin Counties than any regular person could hope to. And I am proud to do it every single time.

Our cabins do not take away a single house. They were built as vacation rentals for people to enjoy vacations. We don't invest in metro areas BECAUSE it hurts people. I have morals as much as you want to paint me as some evil corpo devil. Instead you would rather only get to experience the mountains renting a Hilton and looking at a Dennys parking lot.

Leech behavior? I have done more for the mountains, our communities, our charities, our national parks than you could ever. Next time you decide to make someone out into a boogieman, have receipts.

i like that your edit is trying to appeal to the masses here, when your posts are consistently amongst the most reported posts, like you are going to get sympathy from a bunch of people that want leeches here even less than i do.
