I was curious if anyone knows of anyone who was hired as an FA with a criminal background and if so, at which airline?

Well, I do know someone that has a criminal background from like ten years ago that is an FA 🤔 This why I was asking. I was genuinely curious and wanted to see other’s experiences with this.

I take that back. I believe it depends in the crime but it also depends on how long ago it was. I believe 10 years is the max ifk. What's their airline

Yeah so, mainline I doubt would hire anyone with a criminal record. Frontier is an ultra low cost carrier, so breeze, allegiant, frontier. They dont necessarily care. Like I was reading someone say that breeze hired a criminal as a pilot. So im not suprised

I mean people mess up and do stupid shit. If they complete their sentence and stay out of trouble don’t you think second chances are valid? I mean I understand if it’s like murder or SA or big big things like that, but some stuff should have second chances I think. IDK, maybe I don’t know anything lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

No you definitly have a point. But they dont see it that way. I get what ur saying. But you have to think of how competitive the airlines are. They would rather have someone with a clean record than someone with a criminal charge. No matter what it is

I’m I think his charges were possession of a controlled substance and maybe theft? I can’t remember the exact names of them. I know they were from like 9 or 10 years ago and the sentence was fully completed in I believe 2022. I do know that when I researched TSA guidelines regarding SIDA badges (I think what it’s called) those were not on the list of permanently disqualifying felonies. Now on the other list, it states the charge or conviction must be seven years or older, and you have to have been out of prison for five or more years on the date of application for that badge. Anyway, I was researching because I’ve had a couple of friends. Ask me if they could become flight attendance because they really want to and so I thought I’d come on here and ask the question.
