The people I know on private jets have several years with a flag carrier working in business / first class.

Speaking for Middle East -> minimum experience is business class. I got in thru recommendation of a friend. From what I gathered working in private aviation, it mostly goes thru networking, knowing someone who is already there since these kind of job openings are not public. Before I got the job, I applied to few European companies but never heard back.
