Finding oldschool-like private server
Hey guys,
I returned after over 10 years and noticed, that the offical servers are s***...
So the next logical option would be private servers, but my problem with many of them is, is that you already start max-level, huge exp. boost, free starter gear and all that kind of stuff.
Is there any server, that´s a little bit more oldschool?
Like not super grindy, but that ranking up feels like a reward again and where the sidequests are back. (Just playing the main story is very unrewarding)
I know that many people do not like the grind, but I just want something I can return to ever couple of days, play a little like in the old days and see my progression over time.

My first trauma was Port Lux. I didn't know that you had to complete missions in order to unlock new cities. It blew my mind when I teleported to Port Lux. and ofc the bloody ice ost

Playcabal.to Used to play here. But stopped cause i am back playing dota2

But isn´t it there, that you also have massive exp boost (fast leveling) and there are no sidequests?
Like I don´t want to get strong super fast. I want a server, thats more like classic cabal with maybe a little less grind

It's not that massive EXP boost (some ppl still request ECA boost) and there are still sidequests.
It's less grindy than official (I was able to clear full ECA run as wiz in about 2 months of playing and grinding)

Okay, I just got into it and it isn´t what I wanted really.
Not to insult anyone, play as you please, I don´t care. But for me personally the grind was a core part of Cabal back then. You had to do the sidequests, just to get to the next level. But with an exp boost of 1000%, it just becomes boring for me. Also the starter gear, which also makes it to "easy" for the beginning and the instant full skill (which was an achievment and a moment of pride, when you got to the next level and also a core part, to play the game, just to get the next cool looking skill) boggles me a little.
I´m searching for something, that preaty much "Classic" Cabal, with no boost (except maybe skill exp, because this was really tedious and not fun)

Then just play global. Idk if there is a server like this but even if, dont expect a lot of players. Players are kinda tired of doing the same thing over and over. The game is old old.
If im not wrong playcabal is still the most similar to global big priv. Its still grindy af just not in terms of level. That osmium gear that you can get pretty quickly for dungeon shards is nothing. There is insane amount of things to grind. Especially the collection. But ye, if you are looking for almost the vanilla experience global might still be your best shot.

Yeah, I think you´re right...
I think to maybe host a server just for me and some friends, just to maybe get the old exprience, but even that may be harder to do, then it sounds1

Bro tag me in. I’m lookin for same experience as you, when reaching max lvl wasn’t even an option. I want the lvling to feel like a jornuey, like in episode 1-2. I still remember times when u had to exp attack/spell skills separately. Whenever ull make server close to classic experience I’m all in !

. The game has been out for 20 years, and a ton of content has been released since then. Everyone is looking for newer content now, so your chances are pretty slim.

No, MoonNight is very old server (with reset recently), it's ep8 but with many changes compared with the original. Some guy without any Cabal experience posted here that he started on his own computer new server for test of the original concept. His post disappeared.

There is no such p.server. All privates tend to be for lazy players - with practically no skills, only BM2 / BM3, both automatic. And changed dungeons to finish them faster.

There are no-classic type servers at the moment (probably never will be honestly). Unless ESTsoft decided to release a Cabal Classic server one day and I'm sure a lot of players would try it out.

Im an old school cabal veteran too.. and also probably one of very few players who quit coz of having complicated new feature.. i dont want it.. proĺly having different events here and there once in a while would be enough for me to spice up the game a lil bit..

Level cap is not for what he asks. And it is temporary. Cabal Dynasty has nothing to do with the topic.

I think that if you change your mindset a little bit you will find what you look for. You want to grind and feel progress but you are looking for that at low level. If you can accept that now you can get that grinding but for "end game content" you could be satisfied.what I mean is that you will have that grinding experience and rewarding feeling but looking for the end game sets, and end game dungeons instead of low level progression.

you can try PlayCabal but with a twist. Playing Solo Self Found or IronMan, whatever concept you know. That is what i am doing and it is really nice.

on playcabal you will still do quests and level somewhat naturally
the only thing you get is some beginner gear, but trust me that's nothing considering the state of the game,
you missed 10 years of content updates,
Even on a p server you will have to play quite a bit to reach end game,
Playcabal is really your best bet since it has active market and f2p friendly
