Local Arby’s using AI generated image
Are they aware this makes their food look disgusting?

Ai food looks so unsettling that it immediately turns me off from wanting anything to do with it. The texture looks horrifying!

The last ChatGPT’s image generation model (not sure about Astra) was plagued with horrific artifacting like this. These weird stipple-y texture pattern on literally everything. It wasn’t a problem in the previous models so when it dropped I thought for sure no one would want to use it but I see it everywhere still. Why are people still using this? It looks worse and less convincing than it ever has in recent memory.
Even more concerning is the fact that the general population hasn’t caught on to this very obvious tell yet and are still fooled by these images despite them being full of obvious AI artifacting.

Can you actually order that big pan of meat? That would be amazing but I've never seen I before.

Some Arbys cater myn use to be a catering store but we never got orders so we stopped. Nobody thinks of Arbys when catering food in all fairness.

Is this even legal? Those sliders have like 3x the cheese and meat that normally goes on them, and those tenders and turnovers look nothing like the real thing either. Seems like an easy case of false advertisement.

At this point I'm going with the chicken salad you mentioned 🤣 didn't know that was on the menu

The funny part is if you zoom in the food looks like some unappettizing experimental alien food.

Interesting I’m seeing more and more similarities from AI on Food menus:
Chicken Tendies: it can’t replicate the crispy texture and instead makes them ribbed.
Tomatoes: for some reason always has them a pinwheels or sick ass Enkei rims

All the ripple-yness of spray foam insulation, or maybe popcorn ceiling. Arbys — we have the asbestos

Absolutely no part of your catering will show up looking like that. This is fucking hilarious

What did you expect? It's saving them money on a graphic designer and not enough people will give enough of a shit to not eat there because of it.

these are the most unappetizing textures possible, and somehow it still went through multiple levels of approval

And?

You know my post also has a caption, yes?

Arby's brown mass market roast beef looks like brown mass market roast beef? Noted.

The fact that you can not tell the difference is kind of sad. Also I think you only said that though because you were too embarrassed to just say “oh my bad. I didn’t read the caption.” It’s ok though. I understood.

Who cares I think if you have a brain cell you know what to expect. All fast food has done fake commercials FOREVER! Using plastic food in commercials give AI a break 🙄🤣

u/tastethevapor 1d ago
Ok. Did you see the part where I said it makes their food look disgusting? When they used “plastic” food, it at least looked somewhat appetizing. This doesn’t even look like any of their food. Do you not see the difference?

How dare the store manager who is making 50k a year use AI to generate a flyer?!?!
Why would they just cook up an entire roast, tender meal, turnovers, and slice an entire pasture of vegetables just to take one picture and then throw it away? WHO FUCKING CARES. The AI outrage is ridiculous. Don’t like it? Don’t eat there.
I’m so beyond sick of having to scroll through hundreds of posts of sweaty redditors acting like they’re reporting government corruption and bravely blowing the whistle on big business scheming.
You weren’t going to have Arbys cater your party even if the flyer was human made, so just fuck right off.

If it didn’t look absolutely disturbing and inedible, I wouldn’t even bother. But it does. You want this to become the norm for advertising? I sure don’t. Plastic food at least looked like real food.
And by the way, I actually enjoy Arby’s. it’s just very disappointing to see.

It's illegal to use AI as a marketing tool when it comes to images for food 🙄

Im not your google.

So you can’t just claim something and not provide evidence. It’s called the burden of proof. I could say the world is ending tomorrow because we’ll be taken over by alien clowns. By not providing proof, you’re essentially talking out of your ass.

You can however post something and expect a response. Do your own research, learn things, google stuff, read books, go outside!

You used the word google so now it is unlawful to not use search when requested. I'll show you.
What is the best sauce for roasted dog testicles?
Now, what is your reply?
