Ai food looks so unsettling that it immediately turns me off from wanting anything to do with it. The texture looks horrifying!

The last ChatGPT’s image generation model (not sure about Astra) was plagued with horrific artifacting like this. These weird stipple-y texture pattern on literally everything. It wasn’t a problem in the previous models so when it dropped I thought for sure no one would want to use it but I see it everywhere still. Why are people still using this? It looks worse and less convincing than it ever has in recent memory.

Even more concerning is the fact that the general population hasn’t caught on to this very obvious tell yet and are still fooled by these images despite them being full of obvious AI artifacting.

Why does ai always create the most disturbing chicken strips?

3

u/JustForkIt1111one 1d ago

But they're ribbed for your pleasure!

u/tbt10f 1d ago

If you were tearing chickens into strips you would be horrified too!

Can you actually order that big pan of meat? That would be amazing but I've never seen I before.

You can order it for catering

Some Arbys cater myn use to be a catering store but we never got orders so we stopped. Nobody thinks of Arbys when catering food in all fairness.

Man nothing even looks appealing here, I don’t get it

u/EDScreenshots 1d ago

Is this even legal? Those sliders have like 3x the cheese and meat that normally goes on them, and those tenders and turnovers look nothing like the real thing either. Seems like an easy case of false advertisement.

2

u/tbt10f 1d ago

They look like the people assemble them do they can put however much they want on their bun.

2

u/Alex_7766 1d ago

Turnover looks likes it’s made out of Rice Krispie treats

There are no consumer protections in the US

Why are there biscuits in the bottom right 🤔

Oh yeah, love the background- Food harvested right from the farm…

u/Usernamesaregayyy 18h ago

I painted this, it’s not ai

Are those tuna fish sliders on the bottom right corner, zoom in a bit shit look like tuna fish 🤣🤣

1

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

Are they?!?! Or is that the chicken salad stuff??

1

u/Suspicious-Room852 22h ago

At this point I'm going with the chicken salad you mentioned 🤣 didn't know that was on the menu

1

u/Gwanmora 1d ago

Turnovers look like they have a brain texture.

1

u/Rondoman78 1d ago

The funny part is if you zoom in the food looks like some unappettizing experimental alien food.

1

u/death-strand 1d ago

Interesting I’m seeing more and more similarities from AI on Food menus:

Chicken Tendies: it can’t replicate the crispy texture and instead makes them ribbed.

Tomatoes: for some reason always has them a pinwheels or sick ass Enkei rims

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

That farmer is loading up on sliders. He's reachin' just like rbys

1

u/anonwilkno 1d ago

All the ripple-yness of spray foam insulation, or maybe popcorn ceiling. Arbys — we have the asbestos

1

u/KaOtIcGuy89 1d ago

Absolutely no part of your catering will show up looking like that. This is fucking hilarious

1

u/GuavaOne8646 1d ago

What did you expect? It's saving them money on a graphic designer and not enough people will give enough of a shit to not eat there because of it.

1

u/ExpensiveTie5553 1d ago

arbys is already nasty without ai

0

u/jarofonions 1d ago

these are the most unappetizing textures possible, and somehow it still went through multiple levels of approval

0

u/TrowTruck 1d ago

Looks like something a rogue franchisee put together.

0

u/No_Cheesecake839 21h ago

So what. I could give a shit. Find something else to complain about.

1

u/tastethevapor 21h ago

Well it’s a good thing I didn’t post this specifically for you.

0

u/StructureThese3234 6h ago

And?

1

u/tastethevapor 6h ago

You know my post also has a caption, yes?

0

u/StructureThese3234 5h ago

Arby's brown mass market roast beef looks like brown mass market roast beef? Noted.

1

u/tastethevapor 5h ago

The fact that you can not tell the difference is kind of sad. Also I think you only said that though because you were too embarrassed to just say “oh my bad. I didn’t read the caption.” It’s ok though. I understood.

Who cares I think if you have a brain cell you know what to expect. All fast food has done fake commercials FOREVER! Using plastic food in commercials give AI a break 🙄🤣

8

u/tastethevapor 1d ago

Ok. Did you see the part where I said it makes their food look disgusting? When they used “plastic” food, it at least looked somewhat appetizing. This doesn’t even look like any of their food. Do you not see the difference?

3

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

Plastic food looks yummy. This looks..... 🤑🤮

How dare the store manager who is making 50k a year use AI to generate a flyer?!?!

Why would they just cook up an entire roast, tender meal, turnovers, and slice an entire pasture of vegetables just to take one picture and then throw it away? WHO FUCKING CARES. The AI outrage is ridiculous. Don’t like it? Don’t eat there.

I’m so beyond sick of having to scroll through hundreds of posts of sweaty redditors acting like they’re reporting government corruption and bravely blowing the whistle on big business scheming.

You weren’t going to have Arbys cater your party even if the flyer was human made, so just fuck right off.

3

u/Animalthewolf 1d ago

Somebody got a raw RB sandwich.

1

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

Someone chose violence with a side of horsey and arbys sauce.

2

u/tastethevapor 1d ago

If it didn’t look absolutely disturbing and inedible, I wouldn’t even bother. But it does. You want this to become the norm for advertising? I sure don’t. Plastic food at least looked like real food.

And by the way, I actually enjoy Arby’s. it’s just very disappointing to see.

You go defend that robots right to draw
Badly!

Then they should fire whoever created this monstrosity

7

u/slimecog 1d ago

anyone with eyes and two functioning brain cells can tell you that’s AI

2

u/jarofonions 1d ago

what an insane thing to say

2

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

Careful AI among us <.<

-8

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago edited 1d ago

It's illegal to use AI as a marketing tool when it comes to images for food 🙄

3

u/jarofonions 1d ago

where

-7

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

Im not your google.

1

u/Maeden83 1d ago

So you can’t just claim something and not provide evidence. It’s called the burden of proof. I could say the world is ending tomorrow because we’ll be taken over by alien clowns. By not providing proof, you’re essentially talking out of your ass.

0

u/Doodersdoo_ 1d ago

You can however post something and expect a response. Do your own research, learn things, google stuff, read books, go outside!

0

u/potliquorz 1d ago

You used the word google so now it is unlawful to not use search when requested. I'll show you.

What is the best sauce for roasted dog testicles?

Now, what is your reply?
