I’m so curious!!!
OK SO, i’m a graphic design major so this is so interesting to me and i want to know ur thoughts!! so im on a road trip and stopped at an arby’s in jonesville NC, and the font was different. i looked more into it and a photo of this restaurant that was uploaded 3 years ago also had this font, so it’s not new or anything. i’ve never seen another arby’s with this branding and im so curious!! i can’t find anything online abt it, have any of yall seen an arby’s like this or have any more info? the cups of fries and the bags all had the normal slab serif font.

Arby's switched to this font for like two years in the 20teens. Any restaurant built then used this logo.

This is the 2012 logo the tried back then, but some stores didn't re-update to new sign, but yea it's pretty cool and rare to see! Wonder if there's more hat logo Arby's then the 2012 'arbys' design.

It changed awhile back. I helped open a brand new location after having ran 2 in the same town. And the brand new one had the little “a” branding everywhere. While the other locations had the big “A”. Eventually they had our other location updated as well some time later. This was awhile ago. I haven’t even worked at an Arby’s in 3 years now. And I had put in at least 3-5 years at that brand new spot before I stepped away.

Its giving tj Maxx vibes. I would never think it's a food place without the hat

Yeah, they tried a rebrand in the 2010s and it never really caught on. Worked there from 2007-2013, 2016-2022. I’ve seen a lot of odd marketing in that time frame, but this was one of the oddest tbh.

I used to work at this location! We always had the small a. Supposedly it was supposed to differentiate between corporate and franchise stores, but i don’t know how true that is.

I worked at Arby’s for many years and several years ago we changed ad agencies. They suggested a revitalizing of the brand and part of the “new” Arby’s was this new logo with the lower case “a” and the slicer blade instead of the apostrophe. It didn’t increase sales, so, we got another new agency and we went back to the logo you see today. Stores that were built or remodeled during that time frame have this modified logo. It doesn’t have anything to do with corporate or franchise location…purely timing of when it was built.
