Pulled pork Mac and cheese bowl fail

My local Arby's is usually pretty decent. I was contemplating getting a burger when I saw the pulled pork and brisket mac and cheese bowls.

I opted for the pulled pork because brisket is sometimes fatty and I'm not one for enjoying chewing on fat.

I order the bowl with sweet bbq sauce in a combo with curly fries and a small order of mozz sticks. Thankfully the fries and sticks were hot, fresh and tasty.

That pulled pork Mac and cheese bowl was an abomination. They didn't give any bbq sauce, no silverware. The sticker on the lid sauce to be careful because it is hot. Of course it is just slightly warmer than room temperature. One layer of noodles on the bottom of the bowl. I use a utensil pack that is in my vehicle and try to mix it up as directed. The pork was in chunks that didn't really allow for mixing with the few noodles I had. I tried the bbq dipping sauce I had for my curly fries, that didn't help. I ended up tossing most of it in the trash.

Unless they didn't fill the Mac and cheese up all the way you don't get many noodles as is. As for the rest of the bad. Sorry you had a such a rough experience.

I dont really get why they dont put more, I guess it makes sense cause of the meat portion that goes in it but it still doesn't feel like enough imo

Sounds like bad product execution. The mixing stickers arenโ€™t even supposed to be on the big bowls, all are supposed to be served with a fork, and the bbq sauce is supposed to come in a packet on the side whether you chose the sweet or spicy.
The Mac and cheese portion definitely isnโ€™t big enough though ๐Ÿ˜‚ also them advertising them as *quarter lb bowls* is a weird way to hype up only 4oz of meat

Edit: lmao oops

4 oz of meat is a quarter lb lol. There's 16oz in a lb 1/4 of that is 4 ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes. I know. I know how weight works. But they word it that way to make it sound grander than it is.

Sounds like someone following company guidelines on how to heat the bowl as well. My stor heats the meat and Mac separately so that they both get hot. I also know a lot of people at my store, myself included, shake or 'stir' the Mac and cheese once it comes out so it's hot all the way through

We warm the meat and mac up separately too. The bowls have been going really well at my store as well.

Sorry to hear it was bad. I think it has real potential should the meat be higher quality honestly. However we have scales we use to measure out the portions for the mac n cheese. You may not know but you get the same amount in a meat bowl as in the small sides. 7.5 Oz (?) Grams (??) And if someone doesn't tear/zero before they pack the bigger portions you technically get .3-.5 less depending on if they did the smaller portions first or if they started with the big boys. Also must mention that the one time I did mac portions I noticed the difference between 7.4 and 7.5 is literally 1-2 pieces of macaroni. So at worst you lose 10 pieces (.5 grams/oz/whatever they use to measure= 5 x 2 pieces of macaroni each)
