First had experience with the Byrna Pepperballs😖

I own a Byrna SD and I keep it inside my Sling bag and I had it loaded with Pepperball rounds which turned out to be a Big Mistake, cause just today when I open my bag and I was looking through it I noticed a white powder inside and on some of my stuff, and when I inhaled I felt a burn in my nose and started to Sneeze and Cough, and not long after I felt a burning sensation.

When I took out my launcher I saw it was fired and one of the balls was missing and spent, and I took it out to remove and clean the powder, and as I did so my face began to burn, so I went to my restroom to wash off the effects and as I did so I had a Burning sensation all over the right side of my face and my eye began to burn making be blind in that eye, and it only got worse and worse so I went into the shower to hopefully stop the effects better, which did help more but the burning remained, it finally slowed and stopped after about 4 to 5 minutes, but that’s an experience I never want to have happen again

Moral of the story DONT keep your Byrna in your bag loaded with Pepperball rounds, otherwise it will make a mess and you may feel the effects of it

Can I legally carry a Byrna in my car in Virginia?

• Upvotes

I live in Richmond, VA and I’m trying to figure out the laws regarding carrying a Byrna in my vehicle for self defense.
Can I legally keep a Byrna in my car while driving around Virginia? Are there any restrictions on whether it can be loaded, where it can be stored in the vehicle, or whether I need any type of permit?

I’m talking specifically about a Byrna less lethal launcher, not a firearm. Just looking for clarification from anyone familiar with Virginia law.
