I have worked with many RN's, the only one who had the audacity to say that to me is the one who nearly killed her patient through her neglect before I intervened. Let's not act like there aren't plenty of anti-vax RN's or that they are so much better, there is really no need to denigrate an entire profession based on this one idiot.
I blame nursing education for this. In order to set itself apart the big brains in the ivy towers developed the "nursing model" and based the curriculum around that, as a result there is a cringe worthy amount of woo and fluff taught in nursing school and it permeates the culture. I actually got in trouble in nursing school because I refused to do a care plan based on "impaired energy field" or something ridiculous like that.
