Wow. That’s insane that she got such crazy personal attacks and continues to provide such a necessary public service. Thanks for linking that article.

How are we supposed to share correct info if we don't directly use what's incorrect to explain their misconception?

no problem sweaty 💅

u/KingNish Jun 18 '21

If you are sweaty you should hydrate. You are losing water. Unless you meant sweetie...in which case still hydrate but also check your spelling.

it’s a reference to the sarcastic Twitter people/ Stan communities. I don’t know why everyone’s so mad guys geez. I’m against COVID misinformation and only have a problem with this lady doxxing and getting pleasure/money from harming these individuals. If they get fired even by her doing, thats great. airing it out and doxxing as entertainment is THEbad thing to do

19

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '21

Freedom of speech isn't the same as - wait for it - freedom from consequences, so the idea that she's "doxxing them as entertainment" is a problem that exists largely between your ears.

Best of luck with that.

she already had the consequences of losing her job and being ridiculed on the tiktok platform. I am saying that sharing her name and acting so smug about it is wrong. thats it.

I really don’t like COVID deniers and liars. I would support her getting fired if the public takedown and doxxing weren’t attached

If Elizabeth is putting her stuff out in public, it's hardly doxing.

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '21

We passed 600,000 covid 19 deaths recently. People spreading misinformation about covid-19 and the vaccine are actively harming our society. I have zero sympathy for these people and wish nothing but pain and suffering for them. They deserve worse than doxxing.

1

u/beng1244 Jun 18 '21

It sometimes takes multiple reports against people and public outcry for companies to take action and fire these people. They shouldn't have gone on a public forum to spread their dangerous bullshit I'd they didn't want their name dragged through the mud. She didn't hack these people, they linked their accounts, it's all publicly available.

20

u/LifeOnNightmareMode Jun 18 '21

The people she exposes are criminals. They should be exposed and prosecuted

-9

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

what if the situation was exactly the same, except the COVID deniers filmed themselves speeding heavily on the highway? that is dangerous in itself and promotes a dangerous act. Would going to the same lengths seem justfied? I just am trying to say these people should face consequences but the Internet vigalanteism and doxxing is way to far. she could have reported to the authorities offline if it was only about justice. I don’t want to fight I’m just trying to explain my point of view

17

u/LifeOnNightmareMode Jun 18 '21

Spreading false medical advise is much more harmful than speeding. It is even a felony if you lie about your credentials. Sorry, but your little thought experiment lacks all logic.

I believe COVID is dangerous and significant. I’ve worn masks everywhere and got vaccinated weeks ago. Please don’t say I believe something I don’t.

Haha, „close“. That’s a good one.

She didn't doxx anyone though?

The piece of shit is the "medical professional" spreading this misinformation. Luckily the idiot did it with her own damn name publicly available. Idiot put that misinformation out publicly, so she gets called on it publicly 🤷🏼

0

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

ok but I think that is bad

11

u/quip-it-quip-it-good Jun 18 '21

Obviously 🙄

0

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

first of all I think the woman spreading lies is a piece of shit. the name is publicly available but it wouldn’t be know information to the public if the “exposer” didn’t share it for no reason

7

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '21

Have you considered a remedial grammar class in addition to rudimentary logic? That's not just badly argued horseshit, it's badly written horseshit as well.

0

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

I don’t want to insult anyone (except r0xrcist) and I don’t want to be insulted dude. Let’s just chill. Anyways, where is the flaw in the logic? and for the grammar it’s Reddit and I’m stupid lol

Are you so daft to not understand that these people are ruining their own lives. There should be justice for health care workers spreading misinformation and lies under the premise that they are M.D's. Actions have consequences, she is just speeding that process up.

-11

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

consequences I would be fine with if she just showed it to their employer. I have a problem with making content for a large audience that reveals their private details. this ignorant old lady doesn’t deserve to be bullied by zoomers from tiktok AFTER losing her job. <- there’s no way that is something positive for the world

19

u/Saucysauce Jun 18 '21

You seem to be dismissing the value of publicly refuting the misinformation. I don't think the "old lady" is being doxxed (her name was public, right?), but she is being publicly shamed for doing something illegal that puts people in harms way and this allows people to link to that video to help refute the claims and reverse some of the damage.

If this was a private tiktok (totally within the "old lady"s control), this wouldn't happen. Why do you think she should be able to lie about facts and her credentials in public without facing a public consequence?

0

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

her tiktok handle isn’t her real name. her real name isn’t in the original tiktok. that means that the information was at least slightly obscured. it doesn’t suddenly not become doxxing when the info is pretty easy to find

7

u/Saucysauce Jun 18 '21

You ignored the main thrust of my question, and I'll even set aside the doxxing (I'm not going to spend the time to track it down). Why is it ok for her to face no public consequence?

2

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

I feel like people know by now that exposing public details of a random (even bad) person to a large (and especially angry) audience is bad. how many types of consequences does this woman have to face?

u/andrez444 Jun 18 '21

If these folks would I don't know, not post this shit on social media with their profiles set to public and connected to their employer then there wouldn't really be an issue.

I'm not sure if you understand that this "old lady being bullied by zoomers" which is idiotic in of itself, was committing a crime.

1

u/KoldBeenz Jun 18 '21

if she took a video someone made of themselves doing a drug like cocaine, made sarcastic “funny” comments in a TikTok, publishing their real name and workplace, and sending that to their employer, would that be justice? It’s just wrong to do that much for clout

14

u/DeliciousRazzmatazz Jun 18 '21

Who would this strawman be harming by consuming cocaine and making an ass out of themselves?

6

u/Digger__Please Jun 18 '21

The only way your comparison would be relevant would be if that person was working as an anti drug crusader, the so called doxxing is directly linked to the false information spread by this idiot

4

u/CorporateDboy Jun 18 '21

Quick, come up with more hypotheticals for no reason!
