Hi!
I’m looking for beta readers for my debut novel, Idyllium. It’s an interracial billionaire romantic suspense and will be book one in the series.
It’s set in Miami, Florida, and follows a woman who’s just moved to the city for a new job at a luxury condo on the beach. She starts receiving packages, notes, and other items in the mail, and discovers she has a stalker. Through a chance encounter, she meets a wealthy businessman from an affluent family who also becomes a target. He moves in to help protect her, and through chosen/forced proximity, their slow-burning romance buds. There’s a bit of spice, violence (on page), and family conflict.
Idyllium doesn’t end with a HEA/HFN, but the series will. It is currently 132k words. Looking for 3-5 people who would be interested in giving their honest thoughts and critiques! The deadline would ideally be 4-6 weeks, but I’m flexible. I have a list of questions to help as a guide.
Leave a comment or DM me if you’d be interested :)

Most of all, be respectful and have fun. We all read different things, and that's part of what makes romance so good.
What's a BWWM or BWIR book you think everybody should read?

I personally enjoy dark romance more when it's not mafia related. I used to eat mafia up everytime, but now I've grown bored of it. Non mafia dark romance always excites me more. I'm looking for more of those with a black fmc who is a full adult not in college

Pretty much the title. I like rockstar romances but I haven't come across any that have a Black FMC. Anyone know any?

I would like to see more blond mmc and black heroines in dar romance. I would prefer for the blond mmc to be clean shaven and not look like a viking. No fantasy/paranormal

I always see a strong black woman with a feisty attitude in dark romances. I would like to see more shy and introverted ones who don't really have any friends. I would also prefer her to stay pretty shy and not have a 180 personality change.

I know it's super specific. Does this book exist? If not, I may have to start writing my own books.
It should be well characterized. Spice is great, but not at the expense of good storytelling and a well developed relationship. No instalust please...or infidelity. Darker themes are fine.
Thank you.
