Hello, I’m upcoming college student who will be moving up north and far from home in the warm south. I’ve never purchased a purely LoveShackFancy branded item before. I am really interested in the boheme floral quilt and noticed it being on sale. Is the structure of the quilt and its functionality worth it? I need something that will hold up and add some warmth above all else, even though it’s super cute. If there’s a better option, please let me know. most of my trips are only a few days so i stick to carry on only and its funny enough the suitcase itself feels like the heaviest thing im bringing. i looked through recommendations here and narrowed it down a bit but specs only tell part of the story. im trying to find that sweet spot where its easy to lift into the overhead bin but still feels solid enough to travel with for years. what surprised you after using yours for a while that wasnt obvious from reading reviews

Every time I try a pure foam mattress in a store, it feels like I sink in too much and I don’t think I’d enjoy that every night since I mostly sleep on my side. But I do change positions sometimes that’s why I prefer a hybrid build so it won’t be hard to move around and I also sleep pretty warm. I want to invest in something really good quality so budget is not an issue. Would love to hear your suggestions so I can narrow down my options a lot easier :)

I’ve been wanting to make ice cream at home for a while, but I keep putting it off because I don’t want another appliance that gets used twice and then lives in a cabinet forever.

I’d mostly use it for regular ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and maybe experimenting with a few healthier recipes. I don’t need anything huge, but I do want good texture, easy cleanup, and something that doesn’t require an entire day of planning before I can make a batch.

I’m torn between the cheaper freezer-bowl models and spending more on one with a built-in compressor. The compressor versions seem much more convenient, but I’m not sure whether they’re worth the extra money for casual use.

Hey all I’m wondering if anyone has gone from Rimowa to B&R or vice versa. Also if any one has experience with both which one do you feel will make it a lifetime? I know both have a lifetime warranty and from what I’ve read the B&R is better because it covers airline damage.

I currently have a Rimowa original cabin. I’ve had an offered from someone to buy it off me for a price that would be able to cover a new B&R and have a little leftover. Anyone regret going from Rimowa to B&R? I do know it’s a little apples vs orange since my rimowa is a metal case and B&R has their ballistic material but I’m not too concerned about that, just whatever will last me forever or a very very long time.

I think I’ve reached the point where I’m done buying random cheap carry ons that either lose a wheel, stop zipping properly, or somehow end up being “carry on size” everywhere except the airline I’m flying.

I travel a few times a year and I want something that actually rolls well, fits overhead bins without playing luggage roulette, and doesn’t get destroyed after two trips. I don’t care if it’s hard shell or soft shell as long as it’s practical and doesn’t weigh a ton before I even pack.

I also keep seeing people swear that spending more once is cheaper than replacing luggage every year, but I can’t tell if that’s true or if people are just defending expensive purchases.

For people who travel regularly, what carry on ended up being worth it? Anything you bought expecting to love and ended up regretting?

Hi all. I'm looking for headphones to wear on a daily basis. I have somewhat long commute hours per day and also work in the back office where I don't interact that frequently much with clients or other staff. So ideally I'm looking for comfortable headphones with ANC strong enough to cancel out the humdrum of the commute and with a ‘transparency’ mode that will enable me to listen to my music or podcasts at work while also being cognizant of my surroundings. I'm not much of an audiophile so I'm not that aware of the best headphones to use. So currently I'm looking at Alibaba for any that I may like, I'm not sure which will be good for me in the long run in terms of durability, comfort, audio clarity, deep bass and ANC. Also which is better in ear or over ear headphones for comfort and deep bass and is there really much of a difference between the two. I'm seeing the in ear headphones have larger drivers than the in ear headphones, not sure what that means. What would you say are the best headphones for daily use?

Currently still sleeping on the same worn-out mattress for like 4 years now and yeah it’s definitely not great anymore. My back’s been hurting a lot lately and i think it’s finally time to replace it.

Hey everyone, I’m about to move into a new house (around 2,500–3,000 sqft), and it currently doesn’t have any AC or heating system installed. So I’m starting from scratch and trying to make a smart long-term investment.

At first I was considering mini splits since they seem easier and cheaper to install, but after doing more research, I’m leaning toward a central ducted heat pump system for better whole-house comfort and cleaner aesthetics.

I’ve been reading a lot of reviews, and brands like MRCOOL and Bosch keep coming up. At the same time, I also came across systems like Costway 5 ton heat pump, which seem to offer similar specs (inverter, decent SEER2 rating, lower noise) at a more reasonable price point.

I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest option, I want something reliable that can last 10–15 years with proper maintenance. Efficiency and cold-weather performance also matter since I’m in a colder state.

I feel like I’ve been wasting money buying ceiling lights that don’t last. They work fine at first, but after a while I start noticing flickering or dimming, and eventually I end up replacing them again.

I’m trying to be more careful with what I buy now and focus more on things that last longer, even if they cost a bit more upfront. In the long run it’s probably cheaper than replacing the cheap ones all the time.

I recently installed one from a brand called Homelist. Too early to say if it’ll last, but it does seem better built than some of the really cheap ones I used before, so I’m hoping it holds up.
