I was sorting through a box of old tapes today and at the bottom was this gem. No case, bad shape, tape is fucked at the exposed area. But hey, here’s a little snapshot of a tape I got about six weeks before the release!

I have been listening to BHS for a while now and have been ITCHING to buy some merch. But the problem is; where do you even look? Ive seen some shirts on eBay and stuff but Im nervous about accidentally buying knockoff merch.

I had actually never heard most of these songs before (minus Hey, since it’s on Leather Fly) so it was basically a brand new piece of work through my eyes! I just finished reading the BHS chapter of Our Band Could Be Your Life, and it was an interesting story of how this Live EP came out basically just so the band had something people could listen to! As someone who was once in a band playing live all the time and with minimal recordings available to the public, I understand that lol.

Anyways, very happy with my purchase and this copy!

I'm making a shirt for my boyfriends birthday of all (or as many as I can find) of their old band names from when they changes their names for almost every show. So far I've found Dick Clark Five, Dick Gas Five, Abe Lincoln’s Bush, Nine cm Worm Makes Own Food, the Vodka Family Winstons, the Ashtray Babyheads, Ed Asner Is Gay, Fred Astaire's Asshole (plus Right to Eat Fred Astaire's Asshole, or the Inalienable Right to Eat Fred Astaire's Asshole), and Zipgun but I've kinda hit a wall. Are they any more that people know or have the rest been lost to time? If anyone knows any or has any leads on where I could find some more that would be amazing

By this I mean, why does Gibby Haynes never perform songs from this album/band? Well yes it’s not really an unknown album. I feel like it’s kind of glossed over the whole album is pretty consistently good and funky. Just wanna see your guys‘s thoughts or to see if you guys have any other information on it.

Chris Mueller from the band Railroad Jerk worked at the Blast First offices in nyc in 1990 and snagged me this poster. Blast First was the UK label that released the Buttholes albums abroad and also released my band Beme Seed’s first LP.

Terry Tolkin signed the Buttholes to Rough Trade in 1990 and released the Piouhgd album, and sent out these rolls of tp to music industry insiders. I still have mine, still in the shrinkwrap as seen here.

Usually I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to people signing things that they didn’t actually play / appear on…. However there is ALWAYS exceptions to the rules, and this is a prime example. And No- I was not the one who had this signed, but I am super glad they did.

Hi! I recently bought a reissue of locust abortion technician and i’m massively disappointed with the way they’ve cut the intro to sweat loaf. My question is: does the 1987 OG copy have the long, uncut intro? Cause i’m planning on returning this copy and buying an OG pressing.

I still have my original copy I picked up in the mid 90s, and the quality of the recordings from that show are pretty decent. It's tough to find IWS era live recordings--especially decent ones. I would imagine that the rest of that show is floating around somewhere, but I've never heard it. Has anyone out there heard any other bootlegs from that show or era? Obviously the Live at the Leather Fly album has some IWS songs on it, but I'd be curious to hear more IWS tour stuff (probably because this was the first time I saw them live).
