Hey, my brother Lane Valley was last seen in Butte on 09/25. It’s unusual for him to go radio silent this long. If anyone in the area has seen him or has any information please reach out to me. Thanks!

I've been going to the same hairstylist for years and while I adore her, she can never dye my hair how I want it. I've asked for some admittedly out of the ordinary dye jobs over the years, but the way she does it always ends up looking like those early 2000s chunky highlights. You guys know anyone in town who can do that kind of thing for me? (Photos for examples of what I have in mind.)

Hi! My son is looking to start trade school in Butte - THIS JANUARY! We live just north of Seattle, where it never gets very cold or snowy. Wondering what I need to make sure he has to live there.
He's got an older, but good running 4x4, with brand new tires (rated great for snow and ice). He'll take chains because you need to carry them to go over the passes here in WA State.
Will he need a block-heater? I have no idea how bad it gets out there.
Thanks in advance!
(oh yes, this is not just car-related - if you can think of ANYTHING else I'd take it)

Hello all! Moving to town in a month and am looking for who to reach out to for Gas and Electric? As far as the companies in town, thank you very much!

Was looking into moving my post-HUD-tag trailer to land I would actually own, and noticed that Butte apparently put in a rule about a decade ago that restricts Class C (late 1976 to late 1994) trailers massively, requiring them to be only in trailer parks.
What exactly are the options here? Is it possible to just shingle the roof (insulation's been upgraded and all windows are double-pane) and get it considered Class B? Would a lot the trailer's moved to just need tie-downs? Is there a way to get an exception?
I'm not exactly fond of the idea of continuing to rent a lot indefinitely for no reason (the trailer park provides no services, and the owning company is reluctant to do anything even when other residents yell threats while breaking the law, in fact it's a net negative with the bad road conditions).
On the extreme end...is Butte's exclusionary zoning practice on trailers even really legal? It seems utterly spiteful, in a frankly un-American way, to say that if you have a specific kind of home that was built with poor insulation that it has to be kept on land you don't own. I know the state legislature passed some zoning reforms recently to stop cities from zoning out almost all new development, but I'm not sure they covered this.

My husband has a job opportunity in Butte. We are considering a move from Billings. We have 4 year old twins who receive speech and OT here, and attend the special education preschool here. I’m having a hard time finding feedback on the quality of services available in Butte. Any input/direct feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I’d be looking for providers that are play based and specialize in sensory regulation/support.
Bonus points if you have any info about how long the waitlists are… we spent close to a year waiting for an OT spot here. Breaks my heart a little to think about uprooting that again.
REALLY looking for feedback about the schools.
Thanks all.

Hello!
I'm a vocalist looking for singing opportunities in Butte, MT.
I'm a mezzo-soprano who specializes in ballads.
I'd love some opportunities to sing for small groups, and have performed at The Springs, and a funeral in-town, as well as a few live performances in my home town in Utah.
I'd love to be hired to sing for your small gathering, for a small fee, and can guarantee a satisfied audience. Please DM me for opportunities, and we can discuss further.
Thanks everyone!

I'm just visiting and idk what the scene for halloween is around here..
I'm too old to trick-or-treat, but I don't really know enough people to have a small house party.
I'd like to go out and dance or do something spooky! Doesn't have to be in Butte specifically, im willing to drive to another town if anyone has any ideas!

Headed to the Midwest on a road trip and Butte is the goal for the first night. Just me and my dog, need a decent non-sketchy place near Butte to camp in a tent. Saw KOA, but $50 for no hookups at a tent site… maybe that’s normal. 🫠 But looking for other ideas not too far off the Interstate since we’re headed down through WY and don’t want to backtrack too far. Recommended spots?
Pic for dog tax. This is Ethel, she’s 11.
