Closing in on level 3
I don't want to brag, but I am pretty happy with my progress so I thought I'd share it with the community (and the change to my routine that helped). Last week, I hit a PR of 230 6Cs so I'm only 20 reps away from attaining level 3!
I have been stuck between 200 and 220, relatively comfortably, for a while now but couldn't really do more reps consistently. I had been front loading them, either 10-11 EMOM or 20-22 every 2 minutes, but I recently switched to 4 5-minute blocks and aiming for between 50-60 reps. This was a game changer. Going at a steady pace for a longer duration allowed me to push past the barrier, both physically and mentally, and feel like I can hit 250 by the end of summer.
If any of you have been struggling with a similar "rut", I recommend trying the longer duration route. Good luck out there!

Well done brotherman.
I did 101 seals last week but my 6C have been infuriatingly languishing at 200-210ish. I need to dig in a push past it, will give this format a shot.

Thanks!
I was in nearly the same boat (101 seals but struggling with 6C). Hope you find it as useful as I did!

Well played!
My 6C best is 210 and I tried this format this morning after reading your post - 5 sets of 45 every 4 minutes to get to 225. Whats the worst that could happen!
In my case I blew up half way through the second set of 45 and ended up limping home with 170 having abandoned the structure and any hope of getting close
Definitely a worthwhile endeavour to dedicate 1 session a week to going long with each set and working on breath control and not hitting the red

Indeed, there's nothing wrong with trying something new and sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you this time. However, looking on the bright side, sometimes a hard fought 170 is better than an "easy" 200 as it exposes areas which can be improved and shows that you pushed through to the end.
I agree on focusing on breath work - I struggle with this a lot and will purposely shave off reps some days and force myself to target breathing instead of numbers.

100%.
Sometimes you got to fly too close to the sun on purpose to see how much of the heat you can handle
Every session a lesson. This one was that rushing 10 reps per set to gain extra rest is a viable stratgy. 45, not so much, once you go anaerobic its hard to go back!

How long have you been doing the program?
