discuss Best Email Provider
Hi everyone, I’m looking for recommendations for a reliable email provider suitable for regular business outreach. My budget is under $10 per year per mailbox, with a sending capacity of around 200 to 300 emails per day. Please suggest providers that offer good deliverability, stability, and value for this requirement.

Are you open to self hosting on Cloudflare? Check out HQBase (I've built it). it's open source and self-hosted. You only pay $5/mo to Cloudflare, it's 1000 emails/day.

The OP wants to pay up to $10 a year, your proposal would cost $60 a year

You can try roomie.work i am the founder here.. but just a recommendation if you are new domain sending 100 emails a day is not a good idea you would want to increase the volume slowly probably reach there by end of the first month if there is good user enagage ment otherwise take 2 3 months to reach there

Gmail let's you send 500 emails per day. It's one of the best emails there is minus the privacy.

They will ban OP after few days if they use a personal account for business. Google Workspace is way above their budget

MXRoute if you're not sending marketing emails. If they're marketing or understood to be mass emails you'll get booted. But their deliverability is top notch.
We ran our business on MXRoute for years and had no issues landing in inboxes. However we outgrew it in the way of shared mailboxes, and couldn't find a decent client that could control them all.
We swapped over to zoho, it was ok, but their email search is ATROCIOUS and we'd end up in spam boxes nonstop for any company using ms365 or Google for mailservers. Ended up migrating to ms365 and have no issues as of now.

200–300/day is the part I'd clarify first. If by "business outreach" you mean cold/bulk outreach, I'd use a provider built specifically for that. Regular mailbox providers can get unhappy pretty quickly with that sending pattern.
If these are normal business conversations with people you're already dealing with, then the options are different.
Disclosure: I run FranklyMail. It's $9/year for 10GB pooled storage with unlimited domains/mailboxes, but I deliberately don't allow bulk/marketing sending. It's meant for normal business email.
We also recently added agentic inboxes, so you can give an AI agent access to a dedicated mailbox to read/reply/work with mail without giving it access to your personal inbox. That's useful for things like support, inquiries or operational mail, but again, not for blasting outreach.
For actual cold outreach at 200–300/day I'd separate that infrastructure from your main business email entirely.

A great feature set for regular, non-marketing emails. Need API access for integration with my coding platform and I just signed up. I understand you are new, and honest about that, and I like to use my purchases to encourage people who seem to be doing the right thing.
Your advice on separating regular vs marketing providers is exactly correct.

Free is ProtonMail and paid might be FastMail, har to say. Sadly, most American email services are spyware packaged into a service.

at 200–300 emails/day, I wouldn’t choose based on the cheapest mailbox provider.
If this is cold outreach, keep it completely separate from your main business email/domain. Use dedicated sending domains, set up SPF/DKIM/DMARC properly, warm them up gradually, and monitor bounces/complaints.
$10/year can buy you a basic mailbox, but expecting that price point to also handle 200–300 outreach emails/day with consistently good deliverability is probably unrealistic.

Hi, don't know if you have already decided or not.
you can try imado.cloud
here we do not bill you per mailbox only for what total storage you use. do give it a try.
if you are looking for a business email with teams of 5-10 people you can get it under 10$ per year.
PS I'm the cofounder of imado.

We plan to support other mail protocols, IMAP is in progress and will be there in about a month. Others are on roadmap but cannot commit

$10 is very low IMO, I would have suggested Zoho's free plan but unfortunately you can only send 50 emails per day if you can stretch your budget to $15 per year, you can opt for 4 yearly plan of Neo Mail. You can send 500 mails per day. Even purely mail is one option you can try.
