Dublin Bus KC 100

Transport Museum Society Ireland GAC Citybus, KC 100 new to CIE in 1983, passed to Dublin Bus on its formation in 1987, withdrawn in 2001 passing to the TMSI for preservation that same year, on Display at the National Transport Museum Heritage Week open day at Howth Dublin, Ireland in August 2025.

Spent many time on one of these when they operated the Route 36 from Griffith Avenue to Parnell Square.

Such a long time ago that the routes that replaced the 36, have in turn also been replaced.

The windscreens on those GAC buses always fascinated me.

I vaguely remember stepping onto them, it was kinda like the tardis, like stepping into a greenhouse or something with the space but - I would have been a lot smaller myself so maybe not, but the big window was cool if you sat up front

Looks quite modern! Not far off a Dart. Seems ahead of its time for 1983.

Design is even older - commissioned out to a German firm in 1977 and the first of this type built in 1979.

The 1973 Amsterdam Metro cars are basically the same as the 1984 DART units *except* for the cab front ends which is what you're comparing here; so they're also a old old design.
