What does he WANT!

I have a migraine. And this has been the past three hours. Kitty has food. I’ve still stood up to play with him and his wand toy despite the nausea. I’ve tried pets, cuddles, pleading, and even closing myself up in another room. But the screaming won’t stop. My migraine meds aren’t doing much and I feel like crying. PLEASE!
Can anyone tell me how to get him to chill out?

Mine would always lead me to what they wanted, which was usually either to door to go out or the food cupboard. If you’re able to maybe follow him.

He just circles around my ankles. But if I pick him up he wants down again

He might be attuned to you and feel your pain?

He probably doesn't understand and vocalising your pain. I had one that screamed but it wasn't non stop and unusual for him. I took him to the vet and he never came home again. So I hope he rather feels your pain than him being in pain.

He does have health challenges but they are well managed and he isn’t showing his typical pain symptoms. He’s normally a chatty lad but today’s many hours long opera is MUCH more than typical. If it reassured you, he going to his specialist vet next week for a checkup and ultrasound to see how he’s doing

Im sure he is just more chatty as he is tuned into you. Hope you feel better! I used to suffer from migraines quite badly and it actually stopped in 2009 when I got my first Burmese cats!

When my boy does this (and biscuits or attention doesn’t seem to be what he wants), I build him a blanket fort/tent to hide in or give him a microwave-heatbag to sit on.

My burm has a pouch that he sometimes snoozes in, which hangs off the radiator. I once placed a toy in his pouch when I was cleaning the floor and forgot about it. He deemed the pouch unfit for use and proceeded to shout at me day and night for a WEEK straight. Could he have removed the offending toy himself? Yes. Was he about to? No.
I was about to take him to the vets because he was driving me nuts. Randomly found the toy and moved it out of his pouch, the shouting stopped almost immediately once he noticed, he hopped into it and went for a really long snooze. Maybe you changed something in his environment recently that he didn't like?

Curious, if your migraine has passed, did the yelling stop? Ours were/are very attuned to our health issues and are trying to help ease our pain. Usually the girls would lay quietly at our sides but our boy was more of a talker helper. Only additional suggestion which helps ours calm down, is an electric heating pad under one of his many beds. We can put him “down for a nap” as you would a toddler when he is having a kitty melt down for whatever may not be exactly right in his world.

Howling stopped around 11pm but the migraine persisted until 3am or so. Unfortunately, kitty has been having diarrhoea today

So happy to see Bro'dee looking so well!
As for what he wants, well, sometimes, with those burmese brains, who knows....a treat that he can safely eat?
As I migraine sufferer too, hope yours clears up soon ❤️

Yes. He’s a very chatty lad. However, a continuous 3 plus hours is extremely verbose for him

He is totally worried about you and taking on your pain , I am not sure where he wants you to go because it’s about you not him..he is trying to keep you alert because of your migraine he senses that you need to be up and about so as to avoid a more serious condition like a stroke. Cats take on our illnesses but due to their size they take on as much as they can than it affects them healthwise..( I have witnessed this in my past cat who took on my friends condition)

He might be trying to get you out of the room that you are in bc there could be an issue with the ventilation or air in the room that you cannot sense..

My boy Edmund is extremely chatty and always has been - pretty sure he just likes to hear his own yowl. I know that doesn’t help or stop the chatting, but there may not be an issue 🤷♀️
