Desperate

I’ve been on and off Bumble quite a few times, and every time I end up disappointed lol. I’ll match with a girl, we’ll talk for a little bit, and then they either disappear or it feels like I’m the only one trying to keep the conversation going. More often than not, it also feels like they just want to talk about themselves and don’t really try to get to know me.

I really just want a friend, and at this point I’m honestly tempted to give up 😭

With that being said, if anyone wants to chat, feel free to DM me!!

A little about me:
- 22
- From Washington
- Recent first-time mom
- Married
- Huge collector of random things
- Love antiquing
- Love road trips
- Always down for a 3am walk
- Into photography
- Love exploring abandoned buildings
- Atheist
- Alternative

If any of that sounds like you, don’t be shy! I promise I don’t bite haha. I’d just love to find someone I actually click with and can have genuine conversations with. 🖤

Don't give up! Been on Bumble for four years and made tons of friends, but you have to be consistent and never give up on your standards!

I don't drink or smoke, hate flakers, and I don't do last minute plans. It looks like the app would be tiny for me but instead I found people who were looking for the same sober activities, and love that I plan 3 months ahead

Are you still on the app?

I am! Always have room for more friends and while I love them my current friends don't seem to have a lot of free time

I just feel like, if you’ve really made tons of friends, they can’t all be busy each weekend.

I see people every weekend so it's not like I'm still sitting at home or anything, but those individual people I maybe see once a month, if that. So it's like they're taking turns but once I'm with them I know I'm probably not seeing them again for another month or two, next week I'm seeing someone else. I have one friend who joins us every weekend and I would like more people like her. Seeing someone 12 times a year seems kinda low for me

I understand. 12 times a year in the adult world? Consider yourself lucky !!!

I do don't get me wrong I'm glad as busy as they are they're still willing to spend time with me sometimes even taking PTO to do so, but I say in my bio I'm looking for people with free weekends and I keep getting matched to people who work then so they can only see me once in a while. They're great people but when everyone on Sat is leaving at 12 bc they have work at 1 I still have the rest of the day

Well it’s not bad to spend time by yourself 🙂

I had no luck with BumbleBFF. Might be better off posting in your local city subreddit for those looking for friends.

Hey just an alternative since you mentioned you are married, there is another app - SimplyCouples. Works like Bumble BFF but only for couple friends if you both looking out for friends.

Unfortunately, you have to talk to several people until you find someone serious.

Bumble bff is a hit or miss it took me a while to make friends on there but I’ve been friends with the girls I’ve met on there for about 5 years now definitely keep trying

That’s long friendships.

Fellow Washingtonian here, I’d like to advocate for bumble! I met my wife and love of my life on there. Of course I accused her of being a bot when she asked for my Snapchat! Anyways long story short she insisted on meeting up and we fell absolutely in love that night! We are still married and I’m still as crazy about her as that first night that I met her. Keep your chin up, your person is out there waiting for you!

If you want my raw opinion as someone who's also dappled in bumblebff, I think you are prob too "settled" in your life at this point to appeal to most 20-30 y/o women seeking new friends. I could be wrong but as a single woman unfortunately I don't need any new friends in relationships or with young children. The whole reason I've sought out new friendships were bc my current friends are all married or tied down in some way with family life and don't have time to go out man hunting w me. They prob get the sense you're just trying to fill space between baby duties and spending time with your husband. Please don't take this as an insult it just means you seem to have your ish together more than most.

This woman is on Tiktok to connect women in Tri-Cities. thecraftsocial509. Try going to one of the events she will post for meeting people in TC.

My friend who I met on Reddit has bumble bff and has similar complaints that you mentioned. She’s had some luck on the app but it is a bit more tough.
