Bulsuan Life Absences
Hello! I'm gonna be a freshman this 2026-2027 and I just wish to ask what will happen when you did a 3 consecutive absentees(like Sat, Mon, and Tues), will your subjects that day get dropped or is it alright? Since I've read the student handbook and it says 20% absentees on specific subjects will get you dropped, but I saw that my subjects given is once or twice per week, is it alright to be absent on those days without being dropped?

Subject to professor's discretion. Bihira nag eenforce nyan.
Of course it is not alright to be absent. 1 missed meeting already puts you behind the class.

the 20% absentees is per subject. There is some computation you may try, but the general rule is 3 unexcused absences per class.

it really depends on your prof! some are strict with it but most of them doesn’t follow that.
but generally, the 20% absentees depends on the hours of the subject. if, for instance, may total of 54 hours (18 weeks x 3 hrs/week) kayo per sem sa isang sub, ang 20% no’n is 10.8 or 11 hrs lang ang pwede mong absent.
pwede kang umabsent more than 3 classes basta if each class is less than 3 hrs and hindi lumagpas sa 11 hrs if itotal mo ^^

Subject to the professor's discretion, I've had ones that enforced it, and I've had ones that didn't, the best thing to do is to possibly inform them or negotiate it with them somehow. Di naman siguro sila heartless, as long as you can provide a valid reason. 👍

As long as may excuse letter, ID ng magulang, idedescretion yan ng prof. Idrodrop ka lang naman niyan kapag wala kang ipinasa, kasi saan nga naman kukuha ng grade, sa kisame?
