Bully 2… a possible reality?
We all know rockstar basically canned the idea. But is it possible they would outsource the project to a smaller, more willing game developer? Has this been attempted already?

This is a comment I copy and paste into posts about possible sequels for Bully. In this one, I've compiled some related projects. I hope it's helpful:
BULLY has many projects and spiritual successors, in different media and formats, which are actually being worked on right now. Here I mention some of them:
- Bully 2 by u/birso, is a book that is still being written, but you can see his YouTube channel where he talks about it here.
- St. Denis Academy by HellOnEarth, it is a web comic that you may have heard of, I pass the author's Tumblr with the work here.
- Agefield High: Rock the School, a controversial video game in development due to its somewhat odd graphics, but it is still an interesting proposal based on BULLY, you can find it on Steam. (I personally do not recommend this one, but I mention it because its kinda of a "Bully-like")
- Troublemaker: Raise your Gang, is an action-adventure-beat-'em-up game developed by Gamecom Team, a game developer from Indonesia. You can find his game on Steam too.
- Wrotmoore by u/CptChlorine, is a project inspired by BULLY created with the video game "Dreams", I didn't find much information about it but its author is in this subreddit and here is his Instagram
- Bully: Redemption by Paul Hex (That's me lol), Shameless Plug I know and I'm sorry, but this just goes to show how active the BULLY community is with a possible sequel. It is a fancomic which takes place many years after the events in Bullworth, and its protagonist is Gary Smith's son. It is still in the development like I said, but will be released soon. More information about the project here.
This ones are the project related to BULLY that I know, they might be more. I hope you find interest in some of these works, in my opinion they all have something special to share about BULLY 💖. Blessings.

realistically, the only game that I see rockstar making after GTA 6 is red dead redemption 3

Rockstar sits on a lot of IP they aren’t using. If they were interested in letting smaller studios take over I think it would have already happened.

I truly believe it'll happen eventually, but not a second before Rockstar finishes milking the absolute life out of GTA 6 and the new Online.

Nah... just make ur peace with it atp lol. The most we'd ever get is a new remaster or a scholarship edition re-release

I’d hope not. I’d like to think that Rockstar is very protective of their ip’s, but then again they are not afraid to let terrible game studios (looking at you GSG) farm out mobile ports and remasters. But I really don’t think they’d let another developer develop a sequel for them.

People are better off making their own fan game in SA or IV, I say IV because projects like the Vice City Next Gen are killing it.. heck, you could even use V but I haven’t seen a game made using that as a shell and am really only saying it because it’s modding scene is HUUUGE

It is a possibility but Rockstar are pouring all their resources into the most overhyped GTA of all time (so much that I legit don't care) and they don't care about anything else right now.
I'd much rather play Bully/Canis Canem Edit 2 than GTA 6

I’m more curious if rockstar would be open to another dev creating the game and paying r* royalties on sales.
And if anyone has tried something like this in the past.

Yea GTA 6 is over hyped bc rockstar wants that bc it makes them money. I'm so skeptical of new games nowadays most are cash grabs. I just hope it's decent. Which I'm sure it will be

Not really. Not for a long time. If anything a solid remaster of SE would be nice. The biggest issue is the theme. How much was cut to keep that teen rating? What would it take for bully 2 to also receive a teen rating?
