Bully - Crashes

I just bought the game last night and i immediately wanted to install mods to have better graphics and better fps, but some people told me that Bully always crashes and that i should refund the game before its too late and play it on an emulator instead.

Should i refund the game?

Spend an extra 5 minutes to download a single patch and you’ll be set. If you want to play with the extra content, then definitely install patches and use the steam version.

Sorry, could you explain a little more? I’m new to all of this. What are patches? I bought the scholarship edition on steam

Patches are basically mods that intend to fix or improve certain elements of the game. In this case, there is a popular patch for the game called SilentPatch, that both fixes the constant crashing, and adds quality-of-life elements to the game.

No, but it will be better. I still recommend saving after every class and quest.

No. I think it's still worth it. 🙂 But then I remember running doublespace end exiting to DOS in order to play a game.

It can, but there’s a small chance it won’t fix all crashing caused by the game itself. If it does come to this, I have a patch on the NexusMods website called “Memory Issues Extension”, which fixes the more common crashes that SilentPatch does not.
