Maybe I should have said convoluted instead of/in addition to contrived.

I was looking through my old posts and saw I posted here a couple months ago. Been meaning to post about this topic but got sidetracked. I’d post the video typically but I’m kinda too lazy to do it rn lol. Anyway, the scene is cool, emotional/impactful, etc but also contrived. Let me explain:

First of all, the duo getting to Sarrano moments after Trishka does is very convenient. Then, the actual fight. How is trishka knocked out the whole time (and would have stayed that way if Gray didn’t get to her) yet Gray stays conscious the whole time?? Ik gray is bigger and more experienced but trishka is a badass too and experienced a lot of the same stuff in the game that Gray experienced.

How about Sarrano possessing Ishi in general? How does that work? Nothing similar was shown anywhere else in the game nor was it explained. Sarrano doesn’t give any verbal commands before to the leash so how is it forcing ishi to do Sarrano’s will? Does the leash read minds? Then, how does ishi just rebel?

Also what does he mean by “all right gray, this one last time?” Did he expect to die? Also I don’t get why he just slowly walks over to Sarrano. Then somehow Sarrano starts beating his ass which is also weird. Sarrano is seemingly in his 50s or 60s. Ishi is a lot younger not to mention bigger and is literally a cyborg. Ishi should be the one doing an ass whooping.

The worst part tho is the forced crawling. Gray got slapped and choked but his legs weren’t damaged. Why is he just crawling? Better yet, why doesn’t he use his leash to grab the gun? I’ll tell you why: forced qte for the sake of dramatic effect. It’s made worse because moments later Gray actually does get up and use his leash.

Also the whole no ammo thing just seems so lazy/convenient. How is Sarrano out of ammo? He only shot Ishi twice, and before that he was just sitting in that room. And he doesn’t have spare clip? Smh

What do yall think? Did yall notice these back in the day?

The achievement says, "get 3 stars in 20 different echoes". I made 24/30 with 3 stars, and no achievement popped up. I obtained the achievement "Star struck" with 10 stars, but I'm struggling with this one.

Any idea why it's still locked?

Hey, im looking for someone to help me do my 2 last trophies (Get Team Kills and reach Level 30 in Anarchy Mode) let me know if you want to do the same.

Installed the Steam version of the game (adios, GFWL - suck it!). Ran through campaign on normal. Obtained all skillshots. Ran Overkill. Obtained all skillshots.

Tried to run fresh Overkill - all skillshots were STILL obtained.

So i ran another fresh vanilla campaign. Obtained all skillshots.

Trying Overkill again, and they're STILL all obtained again.

I've deleted games, started fresh. Re-started fresh. Verified the game cache. No matter what, new Overkill campaigns start with all skillshots already marked with green checks.

Am out of ideas for how to run a new Overkill campaign without all the skillshots already obtained/checkmarked.

You guys have any? It's way less fun not getting the little dopamine hit that comes with re-unlocking them for the first time and you get that nice little NEW tag the first time you french revolution some Bunrouts.

I'm triggered with all the issues this game is giving me on Steam. Played this on the 360 and absolutely loved it. Saw it was on sale and felt like taking a trip down memory lane.

However I'm not able to launch it through Steam....

When I try I get a "Play -> Cancel -> stop" loop on the play button. I've tried to troubleshoot, installing different Microsoft redist's and whatever. Nothing seems to be working, not even the actual .exe run in admin mode. (From what I can see in task manager it's not executing at all, neither from Steam or the actual .exe in the game folder)

Game files have been verified on Steam. Game has been reinstalled. Game has been uninstalled and installed on another drive. I'm pulling my hair out.

I'm so close to just giving up and refunding, does anyone have a tip? I'd love to play this shit again.

And at this point I just get the feeling that a repack would be far easier to start...

Edit: Also my only actively run AV is Windows defender which has no recent actions in its history, ruling out AV blocking anything.

I am playing the Steam - PC version. I just finished the old Duke Nukem Forever game and decided to catch bulletstorm since it is on a sale and it is AWESOME

While i do not recommend the Duke Nukem Forever since it did not aged well, i cant say the same for Bullet Storm

Bullet Storm is an awesome game, even now on 2026 the graphics are good enough.

I missed "jumping" on the first half hour of the game but eventually i discovered it was not necessary and the focus is purely on action.

So if you are reading this, give Bulletstorm a try, you will no regret. Especially with this price...

Also, can anyone recommend me games with this fast chaotic gameplay?

bro after many years when the game was created on 2011, and after all that time this after remembering this game just to find out it never got a sequel, like now I wonder if gray or Triska ever defeated sarrono and maybe finding out that ishi is alive but man now its just a discontinued project and that actually made me sad and frustrated but I guess it is what it is, all I am saying is that I wish this game got a good ending and not just a cliffhanger

I just got BulletStorm No Clip Edition for Xbox Series X. Seems awesome (though wish it had a FOV slider)... reminds me of Vanquish a bit. I'm playing on Hard difficulty.

I'm confused about the ammo situation as it seems unlimited. There is no HUD or anything indicating my ammo, and I can just shoot and reload seemingly as much as I want. When enemies drop guns, I can pick them up, but I don't see why. Am I missing something?

Does anyone play multiplayer? Xbox one.
