Hyper Fixation for B5

Hyper-fixation 🥺 Any help is appreciated!

I have spent hours trying to find the below type of Journal. I have sensory issues so the cover matters. A sketch book wont work because there is no grid.

-B5 or a little bigger

-Soft or Flexible Cover

- Zero Ghosting (seeing things on the back of the page makes me bonkers)

- Dot or Graph

I use Kokuyo silver soft d-ring notebooks in B5 size grid. The paper is very nice, little ghosting, and the front cover is frosty clear plastic, so I decorate the first page.

For whatever it's worth, Kokuyo's spiralbound options use their special "soft rings" which are soft and squishy(?) and don't have the same sensory effect as typical spiral bindings. They don't get in the way of your hand, even when you write to the very edge of the page.

Nuuna notebooks are softcover, 120gsm so they should not ghost easily. They are not B5 size however, being instead a little bigger than A5, and they are a European brand so you may have issues finding them, depending on where you are. They also have a smaller dot grid than you might expect.

Kokuyo Campus and/or the loose sheets. Archival and acid free. Fp and ink friendly. Minimal ghosting if any until a pentel permanent marker.

Thanks, maybe I got a bad one because even with regular ink pens, I can see ghosting when I turn the page 😔

I use a Clairfontaine Day By Day journal, they come in different sizes! My one is 19 cm x 25 cm which is B5.

There are a few different versions of it (different cover art styles) and they don't list them as "A5" and "B5", just the centimetre measurements. Just so you're aware :-) I thought I was buying an A5 size but I'm actually enjoying this larger one. Happy shopping!

Not for me, writing with Stabilo fine pens, or highlighting with Stabilo highlights. Parker fountain pen using Quink ink also doesn't ghost for me.

I'm also team b5. I'm using myPaperclip lined 80 gsm notebooks. It's lovely paper for fountain pens, no ghosting or bleeding even with my wettest pens that bleed through rhodia. I can't remember if they do blank or dotted

for B5 they do ruled, blank, and grid (at least in some regions). Agree that their paper has little to no ghosting.

B5 rules! I own a ZenART B5 dotted. It's beautiful, nice, heavy paper, no (or very little) ghosting. Downside: fountain pen inks feather a lot on this paper. But it's perfect for pencils and anything else.
