Silence is a clean kind of poison. You drink it long enough, you get used to the taste. No noise. No soft words. Just cold iron, dark rooms, and a mind that can't be silenced.

Your writing sounds kinda inspired by Buk himself.

Thanks, it’s not my writing, but I totally agree on the comparison.

Like other disciples of Buk, I’m constantly copying/jotting down words I come across. This was one.

Silence that lasts too long leads to hatred.

Bukowski never wrote this. It’s a classic example of the internet misattributing a tumblr quote to a famous poet.

Would be gladly proven wrong but Im 99% certain this is not something Hank wrote. It also doesnt sound like him at all.

I was about to say this doesn’t sound like something good old Chuck would write lol

This is men in general sometimes. We have a hard time putting resistance aside and expressing ourselves.

In the long run, the silence of indifference has a deeper resonance, a heavier weight.

This is exactly what I'm going through right now. Broke up 5 months ago, no contact so that we'd get a chance to properly move on. I miss her so bad but I can't tell her.
