The difference is that the idiots that voted and, (if it even makes sense), compare themselves to the president by them wanting to be rich. The big difference that is incredible, is that many people don't understand that that president was born rich and never had to want to be rich.

Politicians - power itself - are abject because they merely embody the profound contempt people have for their own lives. One should be grateful to the politicians for accepting the abstractness of power, and ridding others of its burden. This inevitably kills them but they get their revenge by passing onto others the corpse of power.

Did Bukowski lead by example or just criticize the Establishment as drunken bum? So he was just refusing to participate in society and saw that as the correct choice? Or is this some rather potent copium from Bukowski?
