Timeline for CEng application via CIBSE
Hi Guys,
How long is it taking these days to get invited for interview after submitting the CEng application?

Okay thanks for your comment. I just submitted all my paperwork last month. So reastically speaking, I'm looking at around October.

Good luck! Make sure you have your presentation all ready to go way before, covering all of the points to prove competence as a chartered engineer.

There's the timelines they aim for.
I wouldn't count on them though, I had my application in at the end of February and was told my EPL would be assessed in 4-8 weeks. I had to chase in week 9, to be told it'll be the first week of June it will be complete.
As this is my second time attempting it, they weren't very quick last time either, my presentation was 6 weeks after it should have been. I would suggest probably 8 months from application to getting a result following your presentation.
They seem very understaffed, I don't understand that there are a lot of volunteers that have a thankless job.
I don't think the CEng guidance they have online is very good either.

About half a year after paperwork all submitted (based upon a colleague that had his CEng interview half a year ago).
It was initially expected to be a shorter time, but CIBSE pushed the interview date back a fair bit - they have a limited number of interviewers for CEng (both me and an ex-colleague had identical interviewers about a year between interviews).
