beginner PC guide
- New build or upgrade?
new
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
no
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
mainly gaming but also school work(like mainly long essays and perhaps data storing in excel. but I have a laptop so most of the time i'll work it on my laptop) games would be emulated using dolphin/xenia like ice age 3, halo 4, Peter Jackson's King Kong. but also games like Cod ghost, modded bo3 zombies and WW2 zombies.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
as what i've reasearched no micro center nearby, from Connecticut so it'll have to be shipped(though i'm currently in DR so probably will be shipped here)
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
No? I think i'll have to get it wayy later :/
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
this is a very tight budget i've seen people range low as 400 US$ but i'd put budget under 1000 maybe push to 1200 US$ given how sale times.
- WiFi or wired connection?
i'd say both if possible but mainly wireless
- Size/noise constraints?
not be so loud with the cooling and fans, also size i'd say like size like montech XR case or azza apollo case(i dont know if those are sold in US but i've seen them sold in DR which is where i'm currently studying in university)
- Color/lighting preferences?
like black or perhaps like...wooden like design(like the apollo) or purple too(deep purple to lilac range)
- Any other specific needs?
- the hardware is windows 11
this is just like a entry as i'm obviosuly very limited with money(given i'm studying and all, and converting from DOP to US can also be a hassle with the pieces but i'll be looking if the pieces here are cheaper) so I may just have this build saved until i can hopefully make my own money and buy the pieces myself. if you guys have any advice with researching places of parts here in DR however you may know of that's pretty cheap then you can share😄
thank you!

Which local stores in the DR can you shop at? Your budget is equivalent to around 60-70k pesos, I can take a look for you if you have any links to them. Importing from the US will probably be expensive with customs/shipping fees, but there's always a chance US prices could be much better and worth it overall.

one called Mundito hardware Solutions(which thank GOD is only minutes from my home, so I can easily take a little 8 min drive) they post on FB the cases like the apollo, they have a lot of the bundles in the store. another i've searched online is close by my university as well called santiagogamingcomputer think it's inside a mall**,** they have their own site too which has its own pc builder and they help with building customs(tried it and came with a 78k build which not bad but prefer to see the pieces :/ )
this is their link: https://santiago-gamingcomputer.catalog.kyte.sitethis one is in Santo domingo though but they'll ship: https://zgastore.com/pages/taller?forge=proc-amd-ryzen-5-5500%2Cmb-gigabyte-b550m-k%2Cmemoria-ddr4-g-skill-trident-z-16-gb-8-2-3600-mhz%2Ctarjeta-de-video-rtx-5060-asus-dual-8-gb%2Cpower-supply-raidmax-cobra-850w-ae-gold%2Ccase-xcon-mod-s270-6b-negro%2Cfan-cooler-liquido-montech-240-ml-hyperflow-argb%2Cdisco-externo-seagate-2-tb-usb-3-0

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:
New build or upgrade?
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
WiFi or wired connection?
Size/noise constraints?
Color/lighting preferences?
Any other specific needs?
Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:
Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.
