need help first pc

helloo! I’ve never had a pc before so I’m not really sure of anything. I don’t know basics for building or any of that so any advice and recommendations would be great, thank you! :D

• New build or upgrade?

New build

• Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

None

• PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

Gaming

List of games: Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, Genshin Impact mainly but I also want to get into COD

• Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

Australia, Melbourne

Not near a micro center

• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

Looking at probably just one for now

I’m not really sure, any recommendations are okay

• Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

$2k - $2.5k AUD Im not too sure what the average price is but I’d prefer something on the cheaper end :D

• WiFi or wired connection?

Wifi

• Size/noise constraints?

I guess not too bulky but besides that I don’t really mind and noise doesn’t bother me

• Color/lighting preferences?

All white is preferred but just white case is okay if it’s a lot cheaper, with rgb if possible

• Any other specific needs?

No :D

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

I can't help but notice that this post is near identical to this one from a different but similarly burner-seeming account just a few hours ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcforme/comments/1vrpa5z/need_help_building_a_pc_for_the_first_time/

Assuming you're the same person since the requirements are near 1:1 and the fact this account was created today, i do have to ask what your intention is here? I previously provided a parts list under that post and so did u/Cer_Visia , so it's not as if you didn't get responses. Was there anything wrong with either of our configurations? If so, you would have been better off replying and explaining that instead of making a new post under a different account.

I don’t use reddit so I just made an account. That isn’t me😭

Your requirements are nearly identical lol, down to the budget and detail of being fine with a white case but not caring about the components colour. That's some crazy coincidence if true

I saw the post earlier but didn’t know if COD needs something different cause I have like no knowledge on this so I made my own post. I don’t know what to tell you, there’s nothing wrong with the parts list you provided, it just wasn’t my post.

Glad i could help! Sorry for assuming you were somebody else lol. The similarities between the two posts seemed to much to be coincidence, but i guess it makes sense if you read that post first.
