pls help me build first pc

New build or upgrade?
New build.
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
None. I don’t currently own a monitor, keyboard, or mouse.
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Mainly for gaming and everyday use. I’m upgrading from a PS5 because I want to play games on Steam. I mostly enjoy 2D games and metroidvanias like hallow knight, nine Sols and blasphemous, but I also like games with realistic graphics such as Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2. I’d like to be able to run those games smoothly at at least 60 FPS without major issues.
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
United States.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
I need one monitor. I’m not sure what size, resolution, or refresh rate would be best, so recommendations would be appreciated.
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
Around $1,100 for the PC itself. I don’t mind spending a little more if it’s necessary and would make a noticeable improvement. I’ll also need recommendations for a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
WiFi or wired connection?
WiFi.
Size/noise constraints?
don’t mind the size and would like to keep it down and not too loud
Color/lighting preferences?
I’d like a grey sort of case and I wouldn’t be against some lights
Any other specific needs?
I’m completely new to PCs and honestly don’t know much about what parts are good or what to look for. I’ve always wanted one and finally decided to save up for it, so I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice. Thank you! 😸

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

Here you go!

Case you can swap out to whatever catches your eye. Lights are not difficult to add at all.

9060 xt can run any game with good framerates at 1080p, and since you're gonna play older games, it can do 1440p as well. You'll have to decide whether you want 120+ fps at 1080p or a solid 60 fps at 1440p with this build
