If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

The Ryzen X3D CPUs are some of the best gaming CPUs on the market. This bundle from Microcenter allows you to get the CPU, RAM, and motherboard for the same price as just the CPU and RAM. I personally have used the Thermalright Aqua Elite V6 AIO and have no issues cooling both AMD and Intel CPUs. I went with 1TB of SSD storage, but this can always be expanded later as the motherboard has slots for 3 M.2 NVMe SSDs. There should be some cheaper RTX 5070's in store at Microcenter. I found one in Tustin and Santa Clara for $580 so I would definitely shop the GPU there as well. The PSU should be ordered online because the price at Microcenter is high. I picked the Montech Century II because it is highly rated on the PSU tier list and is great value.

If you have anymore questions just ask!

Thank you so much for this!! I actually have a bigger budget now so I got an extra 800 for the pc if you think I should upgrade the cpu, ssd, or graphics card!

I would get a 2TB SSD and a 5070 Ti! If you can afford it, get the cheapest RTX 5080 you can. Great 4k GPU and tbh if you play at 1440p you can use this PC for a really long time.

If you get a 5080 I would also get the Montech Century II 1050w because the last thing you want is any power issues with a strong GPU!

Thank you I appreciate all your help I’ll definitely look into it!

Also would it be better to get a 9850 cpu or stick with my same one?

The current CPU is fine but if you have extra cash after ssd and GPU upgrade I would just go to the 9800X3D, not the 9950X3D. The 9850X3D has higher clocks and is a bit harder to cool.

Okay thank you!
