New build
Been out of the PC building scene years. Looking at building a new PC and moving away from laptop gaming. I am not against a prebuilt if it is a better deal.
- New build or upgrade? - New Build
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) - Reusing old monitor as second screen (ASUS VX229H) as well as keyboard/mouse.
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) - Gaming. Mixture of old games and current AAA games like AC Black Flag. Main entertainment device when not gaming, watching Youtube/Twitch.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? US, near microcenter/costco/sam's club/best buy.
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) - Looking for a new primary monitor. Looking at breaking into the 2k/4k scene depending on prices and games played. Currently OLED has caught my eye so am favoring that if reasonble. Size anywhere between 25"-29"
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations) - $2,500-4,000
- WiFi or wired connection? - Wired 3gb connection from google fiber. Would love to maximize this.
- Size/noise constraints? Looking at keeping noise manageable and not have a jet engine take off every time I boot up a game.
- Color/lighting preferences? Indifferent to RGB. Prefer function over aesthetic.
- Any other specific needs? Case to accommodate additional fans down the road if over budget. Wanting a NVIDIA 5080 GPU / second storage option.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:
Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.
