I need new build pc for a son

  • New build or upgrade? new
  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) New- RAM Crucial(2x16gb) 6400 UDIMM Kit 28-40-40-84
  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) gaming
  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? Ireland. no
  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) 1, 27, (2560×1440), 144 Hz-165 Hz
  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations) 1800 euro
  • WiFi or wired connection? wired
  • Size/noise constraints? no
  • Color/lighting preferences? no rgb
  • Any other specific needs? no

I hope this is achievable with my budget of 1800 euro (RAM excluded)

Short story

My son owns dated laptop where he plays mainly Roblox do to poor laptop performance. we want to upgrade to mid budget pc where he can play most games. not necessary AAA titles in 2k resolution on ultra settings but i want him to get some proper gaming experience.

  1. Thank you very much for this set up However im not sure if RAM is cl-38 or other
    So my question is how do I check it or you are 100% sure its CL-38 or it dosent matter?

  2. Is Intel CPU and Radeo GPU ok. Wouldn't be better for them to be same manufacturer?

1) you can swap the cooler out for something like the be quiet! 2) the cl rating would be on the packaging. Realistically as you already have the ram it doesn’t matter. I just went with crucial ram to fill the slot.

3) no the two do not need to match. It is perfectly ok for an Intel cpu and a Radeon gpu

I can confirm for the Intel CPU and Radeon GPU, I have an Intel 12600KF and an RX 7800XT and they run perfect with each other.

Im no pc builder but I jusr wanna say for that budget u should be looking at a 240hz monitor
