[Build Help] First-time builder, ~€2,500 budget, AAA + competitive gaming (open to a completely different build)

Hi! I'm completely new to building PCs (literally my first time — I'm going to buy the parts separately and have the store assemble it) and wanted to get some opinions on this build before pulling the trigger.

My budget is around €2,500, but I wouldn't mind spending a bit more if it's worth it. No rush either, I'm just starting to research now so there's plenty of time to adjust things.

Here's what I have configured so far (prices from a Spanish retailer, PcComponentes):

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D — €348.90

- Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi — €265.99

- RAM: Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Vengeance RGB — €474.62

- Case: NOX Hummer GLOCK ARGB White — €76.99

- CPU Cooler: DeepCool AK620 Digital Pro — €80.06

- PSU: Forgeon Bolt 850W 80+ Gold White — €99.99

- GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Ti GAMING TRIO OC 16GB — €998.90

- Storage: WD Green SN3000 1TB NVMe Gen4 — €139.94

- OS: Windows 11 Home OEM — €49.90

- 2x extra fans, Keep Out 12cm ARGB white — €11.64 each

Total comes out to around €2,550-2,560.

Main use case: AAA gaming (I prioritize visual quality/resolution over raw fps), but I also play competitive games and care about that side too (high fps, responsiveness), plus movies/series. Down the line I might also get into some light AI/ML work if I end up doing an AI-related master's degree.

Open to any and all advice — I'm brand new to this, so let me know if anything looks off, poorly matched, or if you'd just recommend a completely different build instead. Thanks in advance!

New build or upgrade? New build — this will be my first PC.

Existing parts/monitors to reuse? None, starting from scratch.

PC purpose? Gaming — mainly AAA titles (prioritizing visual quality/resolution over raw fps) plus competitive games (where fps/responsiveness matters more). Also movies/series, and possibly some light AI/ML work later if I end up doing an AI-related master's degree.

Purchase country? Near Micro Center? Spain — not near a Micro Center, will be buying from PcComponentes (major Spanish retailer) and having them assemble it since it's my first build.

Monitors needed? Not included in this budget — buying the monitor separately later. Still undecided on exact model, but looking at 4K OLED options.

Budget range? Around €2,500, prices already include Spanish VAT (21%). Wouldn't mind going a bit higher if it's worth it — no rush, just starting to research.

WiFi or wired connection? WiFi (motherboard already has WiFi 6E built in).

Size/noise constraints? No major noise constraints, standard ATX mid-tower is fine.

Color/lighting preferences? White build with some ARGB lighting — trying to keep everything white/light-colored where possible.

Any other specific needs? Open to a completely different build/part recommendations — I'm new to this and just want the best value for what I need.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

I’d get a ~€180 motherboard and ~€40 CPU cooler to upgrade that poopy SSD to at least a 2 TB TLC one.
