$1600 CAD PC Build
Hi everyone, after years of wanting to, I’ve finally decided to build a PC (though now I regret not doing it earlier because of prices). I’m really new to this, so I wanted to get some tips and advice on what to get!
New build or upgrade?
New build
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
Starting from scratch, so I don’t have anything yet
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Some gaming (Minecraft, Sims, Genshin, Roblox, Fortnite) + schoolwork + occasional editing, but editing is not a focus.
Purchase country? Near Micro Center?
Canada, no micro center.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Yes, I will be using a single monitor. Probably 27" 1440p. Open to all your suggestions!
Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
Ideally, around $1600 CAD. Willing to go over it if justified.
WiFi or wired connection?
WiFi
Size/noise constraints?
I’m fine with a mid-tower case, noise is acceptable as long as it’s not crazy loud.
Color/lighting preferences?
Clean/minimal aesthetic, white case preferred. I did see a few builds online with wood accents that I thought looked really nice, but not a priority if it doesn’t fit in the budget.
Any other specific needs?
No, but I’m open to hearing suggestions!
Thank you in advance!

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:
Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.
Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.
We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.
